Omg I don’t think I can finish this video because Kelly keeps dodging that one point It’s so simple. If you have to be medically cleared mentally and physically and have insurance to complete the actual “haunted tour challenge bullshit” it makes zero sense you would sleep deprive someone before hand. You can’t explain that away. She should just take the L 🙄

i think the point she’s missing on why they are bringing up things from the california days is because yes it may not be like that anymore but russ was never held accountable for when he was doing those things and the victims of that are still being silenced so he never will be held accountable

Honestly want to see Kelly go through the tour. She seems to think she can do better than they did.

I don’t get how she can say that spraying someone in the face with pepper spray is horrible and they don’t do that, but they literally cut your arm open with a blade and injected something in it. The whole operation is just crumbling to pieces. They completely flip a sentence seconds after they they say the complete opposite. Also maybe I missed it but I was wondering what did they inject you with?

New to the channel, Ben! I have to say this is sooo worth the money. Your hard work really shows in these investigations.

Just loading this up, SO excited :D I've been really depressed lately and these videos bring me a little joy.

Ben is a great content creator but honestly not a great moderator, (sorry) 😂 The Wolf actually brought up good points about things that I wanted to hear Kelly’s answer to, like the California stuff, why exactly is the Tennessee experience still being advertised like the California experience and what about the people who have come forward with horrific allegations of abuse? It would have been cool if they could have discussed that for a moment because it is relevant and important.

I remember hearing about mckamey Manor a long time ago as a kid. It's so wild to me that this is the reality of it today. Buncha goofs and perverts beating people up on livestreams just because they can.

The followers who like to exclaim "That was CA, it's different now" fail to realize is that if you go to McM website it's still being advertised as if it was that brief moment in CA where things were kind of cool. There are no videos of these stupid parlor tricks of exercising in a yard and all the other stupid crap. His site, which is the face of McM, is 100% false advertising...

The best defense Russ could have here is to say that everything in the waiver isn't a lie - it's meant to create an illusion. Then since you're blindfolded through it he can make you believe whatever he wants and that's the experience. There's such a simple way to define what it is and debunk all of the criticism... but he won't. If he was making money I would guess it's to increase sales, but... no money either. Makes it obvious there's something else to all of this, and that something else is probably that Russ likes to crank off to videos of him almost drowning people in his yard.

Kelly honestly seems like a pretty smart lady, and it's heartbreaking watching her go to bat for Russ so hard. It cannot be easy defending him. She MUST sense that there is another side to this, but I doubt she even feels free to argue with Russ, and that must FEEL like "loyalty" to her. She really believes in him. I've found myself in situations like hers, before, defending someone that I should have known deep down wasn't good news, but it's because my traumatized soul looked to them for validation and a place in the world. For me, this was grooming trauma. Kelly talks about relating with those deeper aspects of survival horror as opposed to the silly "boo" stuff, and it really resonates, like she is dealing with her own PTSD. I really felt that. It is so, so easy for people like her to fall to the clutches of people like Russ, and sometimes the only semblance of safety you feel is when the "scary thing" lets you into their fold, but it is a Stockholm ruse. Ben, you really have uncovered another cult. The most dangerous thing about McKamey Manor is the way in which a hand full of people are so committed to believing in his image. I deeply feel for Kelly and I truly hope she sees through this all, some day. Russ may have influence, but it's because he's been able to connive people like her that he has had so much success. These mods are the one putting in all of the work to keep the image of the manor alive while Russ repeatedly sabotages it by being his unadulterated self. The power that people like him hold is in convincing people like her to give free emotional labor in exchange for the illusion of empowerment. It's almost Orwellian. It is really hard for some people to be faced with the truth when it shakes the foundation of everything they believe. Kelly believes that McKamey Manor is legitimate because there are a lot of people who are into the experience, and so she fails to see the damage of the false advertising, the misplaced ambiguity, and most of all, Russ's behavior. She's been fed an answer to everything, even made to believe that it's magazines (and not Russ himself) making these elaborate claims -- even in the face of video evidence of the claims coming out of his own mouth. Are we meant to understand this as part of the act? Is Russ playing a character when he says these things? It would be fair to believe that you can't give away the illusion lest you devaluate the magic show, or that you can't show all of the surprises, but that is blatantly different than hiding false promises behind impossible goalposts so that you never have to go through all of the financial and legal routes to actually deliver on them. She thinks that you are out to destroy this project she's dedicated so much of her personal time toward, when in reality, the project is a facade that Russ relies on to inflate his own ego. It could be done right -- if it weren't for him. No one's asking the Manor's fans to abandon their hobby. I think they all need to decide whether their passion is the experience, or if it is in blindly following Russ because it somehow validates them. If the Manor were more transparent about what was going on, then the people who were into those experiences would know what they were getting into, and those who weren't into it could avoid it all, and then everyone could be happy. But that isn't what's happening, and it hasn't been what's happening. It's Russ's own fault that his model for business is unsustainable. He sees Ben as a threat, when Ben might be the only one who's really trying to help the Manor do better. If McKamey Manor fails after all of this, it will be on Russ, alone. Those people in Kelly's group deserve the thrill-seeking experiences they're after if it makes them happy, but Russ doesn't deserve them.

The amount of times I hear them say "Oh, well that was California....". Please tell me you're talking to some of the old actors/participants from San Diego, and to Carol! Been waiting soo long for someone to properly investigate this and this series has been one of the best things I've ever seen so far (first ever time supporting on patreon), but also I feel like we've barely scratched the surface just looking at the current sad watered down Tennessee version. Really hoping you get the full story on all of this as I think you're the first person to do this crazy story justice
