Hey there Ben. I joined your Patreon simply because I think you are doing the work that needs to be done. But I want to give an insight to what I know about the police force in Utah... I grew up there. I was in trouble as a kid and was in their custody until an adult. As an adult I lived there for another 3 years before I realized I had to leave or the entirety of my life would be dictated to me by them. There is a lot to this, and I hope you get a chance to read this... mostly for selfish reasons. Having grown up there and seen the corruption first hand I have a vindictive motive to see you take these people down. It's worse than you might even think. When I was 18 I experienced the most harrowing thing of my life. I knew this guy, we'll call him Jason (it doesn't matter what is his name was and I'll explain why later). I worked at the Burger King on 12th Street in Ogden Utah - I assume the location is still there. Jason came through my drive through because he knew me. I served him, said hi, and sent him on his merry way... The instant he pulled out onto 12th he was pulled over. Now.... Jason was not... uh... liked? by the police. He had warrants. I knew this, but he was a great guy to me, so I had nothing to do with calling the police. I'm pretty sure the cops already had their eyes on him. He pulled over RIGHT in front of where I was working. So I took a smoke break and watched everything unfold. As soon as he pulled over he opened the door and got out of the vehicle (not a great idea, I know, but that's what he did). The police screamed at him to to stop, but he started walking away towards Main Street. After a few steps he started to run and grabbed his chains (wallet chains) to keep them from slowing him down. Within 10 seconds of him leaving that vehicle... the police opened fire. He was not facing them. He was not going for a weapon. He was running away. Jason died that day. Now.... I'm not trying to scare you that they're gonna do something like that.... Though I do believe from this story that it should be a warning I guess? But what absolutely screwed me up and left me scarred was the news coverage of the incident. I watched this with my own eyes. The dude was unarmed and running from the cops.... Not something to be shot over. But the news briefs, every one of them from printed to cable, said that he jumped out of the car and started shooting at the cops. The entire police force in that state is corrupt. I myself managed to prove several of them to be so and got them fired. But that came with consequences and was the precursor to me leaving Utah forever. I went down to visit family after being gone for 6 years and we were pulled over SIX times in the first day (I wasn't driving). Six times. Let that sink in? Every time, they asked me for my ID, I got away because I knew my rights. I will never go there again. Yup. They protect their own. Be ready for that. The state itself will not be on your side. This has to go to the federal courts. I wish you the best of luck. I'd offer more help, but I want nothing to do with that place. I'd be satisfied if Utah sunk into the Earth and became a smoldering crater. Whatever the case.... You are doing the work of the people. I've never once before now supported on Patreon... I live a very humble and low income life nowadays. But I figure it's worth it here. No one deserves to go through the things I've seen and experience with the corruption down there. I’m only about halfway through this but I’m getting worried that this film isnt ever going to deliver on the “who is banksy?” premise… this whole set piece about trying to unravel some tarp on an abandoned building feels like it could just have been a bonus feature, or if it has to be included just condense it down to like 5-10 minutes or so. Where’s the epic quest to find out who banksy is?! Note* also, just as an aside, your new style of voiceover/line delivery is a HUGE improvement. It’s really tough to get through this when every line you finish has a 2-3 second loud, breathy exhale at the end of it. Keep it up i love the lego stuff even if this feature isn’t doing it for me!

I want you to be safe but I also want you to continue the great work you do. It has more meaning then just entertainment.
