Rave on n'more
The Destroy History Rave On project I was making here has been set aside. I worked out a way to do the story that was worth doing properly. But there was one last, experimental page. I am finding my way towards a new art style that I may or may not use for a proper project. I've taken the speech balloons off this one as they contain spoilers.

I’ve decided to internalize this arc as the short, moving story of Shelley making peace with having to develop a two-year steering plan through the miracle of shopping for office supplies. I am dramatically satisfied and my heart is full.
Can we write and post our own dialogue for this comic?
Panel 3: SHELLEY: Nemulon, do you fancy any of these machines? NEMULON: They are all too vain - always checking themselves out.
I love these expressions. Shelley seems to be so happy when she goes shopping.
I'm with Shelley here. There is a special joy that only comes from shopping for stationery supplies.
Poor cyan, getting left out of the iconic fab four lineup.
I know with these panels move the story along, but without dialogue they seem... (puts on sunglasses) ...stationery.
If you ever do a story arc entirely about Lamy pens btw I'll buy up the entire print run. Just saying.
After this week's pages of Steeple, my mind can't help but think Shelley is carrying a sex bag in the last panel. I doubt her expression would be much different if that's what it was.
I believe that's Nemulon.
I'm quite intrigued by panel 2 which is apparently devoted primarily to a stapler-shopping photobomber but contains one delighted and one surprised regular both peeking over his shoulder.
Who *wouldn’t* be surprised and delighted? That hotly-anticipated Swingline PalmBuddy 1530 he’s holding wasn’t supposed to be in shops until December!
Dang. I remember being a bit cool on De Nieuwe Stijl when I saw one or two isolated characters earlier, but it looks good in a real page. Shelly's expression in box 2 is particularly glorious.
If I lose the ability to read, I can always go back to your comics, John—just for the character's expressions!
Pens! It has something to do with pens!
