DESTROY HISTORY - RAVE ON 5
If there's one thing Shelley takes against, it's being asked to toe the company line. She marches to the beat of her own drum.
So, a fifth Rave On and a fifth method of drawing it. I just drew this one straight out like Here Comes Gothy or Cattywampus. With the previous four, I tried to do it properly but the tight format forced me into compositions that I knew were sub-par. I think it works better with a bit of visual chaos and improvisation instead. Sometimes doing things "right" just triple-underlines everything that is little bit wrong with them. It can be very dispiriting.

Vastly superior to the macaroni Jesus is the Chocolate Jesus, as immortalized by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan on "Mule Variations" (1999). Deliciousness without devotion.
Oh yes, the steering plan! Thanks, I'd forgotten already! New job, distracted me
I seem to have missed Rave On number 4, and the tags are with me. Which day was it posted, if you please?
Sorry about that, I've fixed the tags now - https://www.patreon.com/posts/54301166
A detail of Shelly's face and the second half of the speech would make a great Roy Lichtenstein painting. Let us know how much the Guggenheim pays for 'Macaroni Jesus'.
It's a Sunday school with proper regard for the empirical method. "Does a picture of Jesus count as a 'graven image or representation' as per the Second Commandment, like the golden calf? Let's get out the pasta shapes, the glue, the poster paints and the sugar paper, and do an experiment. No, Joshua, this isn't testing the Lord your God exactly, so there's no need to look so worried. If you like, you can stay to one side just like the Levites, and let us all know the moment you see anyone smitten with boils, okay?
Shelley... what kind of Sunday school do that?
This also features my favorite Allison sound effect!
Kind of like a 'schluup' sound?
Yay for Fun John winning this round! Sid's face in panel 2 is brilliant.
"Sometimes doing things 'right' just triple-underlines everything that is little bit wrong with them." Words to live by.
(Memo to self: This does *not* mean "Screw up in a thousand more ways so nobody notices that one other way you're really worried about.")
