Here Comes Gothy 10
It's a cruel world, but sometimes good things happen. Here's the 10th episode of Here Comes Gothy. Can you believe there are only two more?
You can catch up on the HCG Master Post if you've missed any episodes.
I realise that "do one" may not be an international term. It's a slightly more polite way of saying "please eff off".

Thanks! As an international person, I admit I was confused. It was very easy to dismiss "do a proposal" in the fiancé-sense, but like RJ above I then thought Esther was getting impatient with Monsieur Fishman not cutting to the chase, which didn't match what was happening at all... (That's definitely not to ask for you to cut it down with the idioms, your readers including me are avid learners, I'm certain.)
I'm sure Desmond's ancestors want to propose to Easter a collaboration with a really famous goth magazine, or a position in a university for Goth history of the universe.
Etymologically, my guess is that "do one" is short for "do a runner", unless anyone knows better, But surely she should have waited to hear what the mystery fishman's proposal was?
So considerate with your idiom (?) usage
Thank you for the explanation. I was not familiar with the term "do one." Now I know (half the battle...)
How about that. I interpreted as Esther proposing that he get to point and make his dang proposal. I guess both work, but I'm going to start using "do one". Did we figure out if this is Desmond?
It's an ancestor of Des'... we've never really looked into the Fishman family tree, mainly due to people's fear of Chappy Fishman
