Asked and answered.
A number of people have asked me over the last couple of weeks if I have a Patreon so that they can support my work. Here it is. I don't really have any bonus content to share, I whip myself up and down the street making stuff and it all comes out, pretty much. I think the best use of my efforts right now is in the finished work. I'll try to do some process posts for patrons down the line, or maybe I'll put up some of my Giant Days and By Night scripts.
But I'm grateful (you many never fully understand how grateful) that after 21.5 years, people still give a toot about my stories. I will keep making them for as long as I can. Chipping in a dollar a month makes a huge difference.

I don't know when I started reading – it certainly feels like 21.5 years ago, though I didn't have internet that far back, so that would have been surprising. Somewhere between then and now, I started and I've never had as much fun reading comics and stories as reading yours. Here's to another 21.5 years!
I've been reading your comics for over a decade, happy to send money forward regularly, and I'm glad you've been updating the Scary Go Round collections on Comixology. I picked them up last week when I was surprised to see their sudden appearance!
Thanks Luke! The last four will be up in the next month or so I think.
i used to write the URL to bobbins on blackboards around my college. but before you feel too special, i also did this with Sluggy Freelance and QC. But then again, i actually still enjoy and read your work!
I just saw this Dennis - bless you!
I just discovered your Patreon and I’m super happy to chip in my little bit each month as thanks for all the pleasure I get reading your work. I’m a late comer - that a Free Comic Book Day Bad Machinery comic was my introduction and I immediately set to reading all the Bad Machinery archives and buying all the back issues of Giant Days. I’ve been a fan ever since! The last thing I picked up at my local comic store before the pandemic shut it down was my copy of Wicked Things, I do hope this pause in publishing doesn’t kill that serial off, it’s so good. The Steeple continuation you are self publishing now is giving me life! It and the serialized novel Kelley Armstrong is publishing on her website are the two bits of media I look forward to most each week. So thanks!
Cheers Anna! I have hope that Wicked Things will survive the pandemic, the issues Max has finished are their best work to date, it seems unthinkable that they won't see the light of day.
I've been a reader for well over a decade, and while I try to buy some merch here and there, glad I can now do my monthly tip to you sir!
"Freedom isn't free"—that's why I'm donating, even if that doesn't make any sense at all. But I have been reading since forever. My entire adulthood in fact, I am realizing now. Perhaps it is simply too late for any other outcome.
I used to point my animation/web/media students to your work to learn about story and style, kit and craft. Well, that was fifteen years ago, I just realized. "Keep on doing what you're doing, 'Cuz you're doing it right!"—B-52s
Thank you!
