Bad Machinery guests (2011)
(Did you miss last week's post with 2010's guest strips? It's HERE.)
This was my last call out for Bad Machinery guest strips. Another brilliant set.

Scary Go Round and Bad Machinery had an audience of young people who would write to me or send me drawings, many of whose names I would see in later years on the credits of animated shows, in comic books, or in even more elevated spaces. I take no credit for their brilliance, I was just part of an ecosystem of things they enjoyed. But I feel privileged to have had that back and forth with talented, fast-developing artists, something I miss. I still have a conversation with my audience, a different one; but growing up in public as an artist made me part of something that I didn't quite understand at the time. I was very lucky!
There is a big pile of Scary Go Round guest strips, which I'll put up here sooner rather than later.

Whenever you get around to SGR’s guest strips, would that include the contest strips that weren’t in the finalists? Not all of them have been backed up on the wayback machine.
This takes me back (in time)!
Your guest comic still makes me laugh, I love it.
It's fun to see the Bad Machinery characters drawn by other artists. It's kind of like hearing a cover version of a song you know well, that's familiar, but also highlights different aspects, or adds something new or different.
I think Joe may have inadvertently invented Taskmaster in that first one.
Leave it to sandwich-stealing Linton to avoid creative detention.
It’s all very inspiring to see You don’t get this kind of community for nothing
Lottie and Mildred's ideal men have lived rent free in my brain for some years now.
FOR COMBAT!!!
I haven't thought about this in a while (or at least a week when you posted the others) but hey it still holds up okay, I remember it being a breeze and a joy to draw. I don't know how you managed to make that landscape layout work (or at least make it visually exciting) every day, but that's why you're the nation's best jobber. Maybe the trick is not try and cram 10 panels into a page... Joe's is amazing. "IGNORE THE POSTER".
Magnificent. Love to see it.
Greaf to see these all again (and some I don't remember)! Marc's rendering of the kids looks almost like they're guest starring in a episode of Yolo Magic Crystal.
I still need to watch YMC but I am a big fan of Bushworld Adventures.
I will become successful in the arts field so that you can have that experience again.
