Q&A 32: webcomics 2025
Brian Tatovsky asks:
"Are there new web comic creators who have caught your eye? Is it even a thing you have time or interest to explore?"
"New" is a difficult word here. I do still read webcomics and most of them are made by people younger than me, but they still might have been doing it for a while. I don't read comics on Webtoon or Tapas, as I don't like reading comics on my phone and most are poorly formatted for desktop. So I get things through either a trad website, Bluesky, or Instagram. I hate it when comics are only on social media and don't have a proper website where one can catch up easily if you miss a strip, but I take what i can get.
Here are the "new" webcomics I currently read regularly.
My Dad Is Dracula by Jason Poland
Helena by Michael Furler
Wannabe by Luca Debus
Blind Alley by Adam de Souza
Nancy by Olivia Jaines
Haircut Practice by Adam Koford
I can't think of any others off the top of my head. But six isn't nothing! I think anyone who looks at those six comics and sucks a thoughtful tooth for five minutes will see why I can't give you more than six.

Nancy is actually a newspaper comic (and has been around since the FDR administration), but you know what we mean.
The Olivia Jaines version I would think of as discrete, especially given the tone of the Guy Gilchrist version. That's a new comic.
Wildelifecomic.com
Jeff - I was just going to nominate this. Intriguing complex storylines often referencing Native American legends. Crisp clean art with exceptional storyboarding interspersed with stunning landscape studies. Wilde Life is one of the best webcomics freely available today. And the three-times- weekly web update frequency is usually rock-solid dependable. Pascalle Lepas is a master of the medium.
Thanks sir! Checking them out now!
I've followed "Girl Genius" (on https://www.studiofoglio.com/) since the start.
Phil Foglio was drawing comics for DC when I was a teenager so I think he falls outside the scope of this question...
I like Haircut Practice, but I miss regular LOL Cats comics. https://tudza.org/Pip/Index.html
Here’s two webcomics I’d reccomend https://halo-head.com https://m.webtoons.com/en/canvas/emmy-the-robot/list?title_no=402201
Recommend for me or the other commenters? I am interested as to why you think I would like them based on the comics I linked to at the top. A serious question.
