Thin gruel II: the gruel thickens
Here's some more from my Procreate dump folder, a folder that groans with absolute nonsense. This one really builds, enjoy!
1. The Solver 2024 story meeting
3. Onion Dan goes too far
4. No idea
5. Two more Paddys. Poor Paddy. I only saw him on screen by accident. it had been 25 years. Bald as an egg.
6. I must have posted this before, how could I not have? FLY BIRD BOY FLY!

Any mention of bed bugs gives me imaginary bed bugs as well
Onion Dan. Wasn't he in a band with John Ford Anglia or summat?
He's a right laugh once you get to know him.
I can't decide which #5 is my favorite.
I knew we'd see Onion Dan again
I'm amazed with how Eden from Home and Away that Eden from Home and Away looks, flawless capturing of the character's likeness
I’d call this exactly the sort of gruel I signed up for.
Is Regard Venus a riff on Consider Phlebas?
I would think so!
Some class jobbing
I love these.
Quite bonkers actually can't stop laughing. Your files must be stuffed with stuff just waiting to dazzle the unsuspecting!
Poor Paddy made me spin Red Roses for Me, so it's all gold!
Super stuff! Someday, we'll read the tale of Orion Dan!
Nice to see that the John Allison Comics Universe is on the right track. I eagerly await the debut of Super Derek!
This gruel is rich and velvety.
I spent a lot of evenings at my mum and dad's in 2023 drawing absolute nonsense
Nonsense or not, I'd read all of these stories gladly.
Is "Sleeping Satellite" based on the song by Tamsin Archer? Regarding bed bugs, I had similar paranoia a while back: I heard that people could stay in hotels, then bring the bugs back home on their clothing. I bought some monitors which I've stuck to each bed: https://www.bed-bugs.co.uk/product/passive-bed-bug-monitors/ (This isn't spam, I promise - I'm only a customer, not the person selling them.)
For some reason the title of that song sticks in my head. I have no real attachment to it. That URL makes me think the website is run by bed bugs. It's their corporate site.
Someday we'll get an actual Super Derek and/or Onion Dan story. Someday...
“Herbaceous Borders” is a catchphrase for our times
It may be the name of the new album from Bird Boy.
Late night gruel? Oh John you shouldn't have
One day, Bird Boy will soar He will capture the hearts of our generations
