SMAUGUST, GRAND FINALE! TORHAEM, ANCIENT MAGNETITE DRAGON
Welp, this is the end. It was pretty fun doing this for Smaugust, I'll say this much! We won't be posting any more dragons from the 29th-31st, and will instead focus on getting Monster Wheel back on track, starting with September 1st. We're excited to share what we've been working on during this long break!
As for the theme... I think you guys had a lot of good guesses. "Dragon-y Dragons" is probably the closest to the actual theme, but "Dragons with multiple eyes" was by far my favourite, haha.
Without further ado... the theme was Iconic Dragons Across LT History.
First we had the Chen Dragon, the "dragon dragon". It will be in the Yokai Slayer's Codex, but it quickly got popular for the funky concept it has going on
Next, we had Opththalos. This was the VERY FIRST Monster Wheel fusion we did! Can you believe it? It will be in the Monster Hunting Codex, mirroring the Chen Dragon
After that, the Mysterious Arhthrodrake, a yet to be released boss for Heliana's Guide to Forgotten Monsters! I simply had to tease it for you guys, and keeping in theme with monsters from books that aren't fully released yet.
Then, we had Cth'agon, from Voidsea. It might not have been released yet, but Voidsea has had a few betas already, and its Kickstarter came before Mythozoology
Further into the past, was the Paradox Dragon. The main antagonist of Cradle of the Chronowyrm, it has been in the book for a while, as Zaman's Guide to the End of Time is nearing completion for the main Kickstarter!
Even older is Bakuryo, the Koi Dragon, from Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms. This project is where the team truly began to grow, so having her here was a necessity.
... And to end it all, the Magnetite Dragon from Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting, where it all began. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for everyone's support on that very first Kickstarter, and we have all of you to thank for that
Love you guys, and see you in the next monthly challenge!

You sly dogs. I just realized you were stepping backwards in time with each post! Very creative. I'll take my almost win with "Dragon-y Dragons" and put it on the metaphysical shelf of half-achievements I will one day forget about!
