The mead halls are echoing with celebration as the brave men and women of the fjords ready themselves for battle against the draugrs and trolls of the frozen lands!
I must admit, this was one of my favorite sets to sculpt.
Crafting the miniatures of the human inhabitants of the north was a must to enrich the tales told by the skalds of Skutagaard.
This highly customizable fantasy set, inspired by Norse, Celtic, and Highlander cultures, allows you to create a diverse army from the frozen lands. Whether you will sue them as defenders of the north, lord of the horses, ruthless bandits, barbarian warriors, or your own customized hero for your favorite RPG, the possibilities are immense.
After a significant period, it was a joy to return to working on equine creatures – a grand challenge to render realistic and interesting horses in 32mm scale compared to the usual fantasy beasts, which are quicker and easier for me to create. I gave my utmost effort into sculpting the imposing horse king, a powerful and elegant beast that I've longed to include in a set. The Skutagaard Northmen Saga presented the perfect opportunity to finally work on such a heroic beast.

Typically in the first three days, sometimes sooner or later. I don't think it has ever taken more than a week. Keep in mind that sometimes there are issues with supports, misnamed files, missing folders, etc. when first uploaded. These are fixed quickly when found, but sometimes for best results I like to wait and download the files in the last week of each month, instead of the first. Hope that helps!
Loved the whole set, as usual. But if I may, could you please stop using high heels on female warriors? or at least have the option with normal boots/shoes? It just doesn't make sense, even though they look good... anyway, just my opinion. That hero looks amazing, but as soon as I see the high heels, I know I'm going to be made fun of from my female players as soon as I put it in the table... Keep up the good work though. I love your work!

Im living for all the Norse themed sets, especially these badasses! I love the Linnorm slayer and was just curious if you were planning to make a smaller version of the great Linnorm or a Hydra variant of it. The slain head really gives me a sleak hydra vibe and I just would love to see your take on a 'Nordic' version compared to your 'Amazon' themed one! Keep up the great work, I can never unsub from you cause every month is just better and better 😄🤘

Rejoined because, while I don't think I'll use almost any of the ratfolk figures ever (they do not fit the aesthetic of the ratfolk in my setting) I do really like the scatter terrain and the pinup. Originally, I was just gonna wait it out and grab them individually on MMF and save a few bucks But, then I saw this month, and specifically the pinup, and was compelled to applaud your work. Imagine my... surprise is the wrong word, but... It's like the skit about the apple juice, was too swept up in a world with models of gorgeous women who look like my wife to remember that shitty people exist Anyway, bravo on the pinup in particular, but the rest of the release too. I probably won't use most of them this campaign, but my next one is likely set somewhere Colder and these will fit wonderfully. For now though, the lady and the horses (probably the best horses I've seen. Kinda glossing over that a bit but damn they're magnificent!) I will be printing the pinup immediately though. I just wish there was a slightly more Dwarf Proportions version, as that fits a character I have perfectly

Anyone invoking "woke" in their comments is an automatic ignore to me. Keep up the gook work, Artisan Guild. ^^ The horses are good, but forgive me if I give these nordic people more fantastic mounts instead. I'm going classic with your previous wolves !
That's why I sculpt modular mounts and the sizes of the siddle are always the same :)

I don't see a problem with August's pin-up, you always have had varying body types for all your pin-ups each month. I think you've done a great job this month and not just with the pin-up but the whole set. And it odd for people to accuse you of going woke for making a roundish body when you have had a few on that line already. Just Look at my mini factory AG Fantasy Pinup Collection and the Pinups Collection you'll find most all the pin-ups and I did not see the same kinda comment about any of them. Just because they didn't like a model it's like some people just want to though accusations around like they're trying to bully you to make only what they deem acceptable, which seems pretty wrong to me. I hope you keep up the great work, I always look forward to painting your models and adding them to my world.

Looks really good. Love the pin-up being on the thicc side. A bit confused why the "shieldmaiden" doesn't have a shield, but as long as I ignore the description, she's fine. I love the scars on her face.
Shieldmaiden indicate a warrior woman, not necessarily someone specialized in shields :) However I made an alternative pose with a wider stance to let you use shield on her
That video got me back, joined again this month as I have some skaven for AOS and those brutes will make great Rat Ogres.

Wow, cant believe the hate on the pinup - another +1 to the diverse body types (upon re-reading the comments, it seems to be just 3 people so far who have commented on it (and 1 in particular going crazy that the model wasn't designed for them) - and as many or more have commented positively on it thankfully)
Plus, you have to account for the fact that haters always have the biggest loudest mouths. Most reasonable people simply show their support for the diversity with a simple heart/like for the positive comments. And there are tons of those. Again, keep it up, Artisan Guild!
On a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SUBJECT… Man, I love the horses! They’re reasonably furry and stocky, like Icelandic ponies! The King of Horses is especially cool, since I can’t see his eyes. 👍👍 One question though… if the riderless ones are “wild”, then who braided their manes? 😉 (It was the wind. That’s how cool they are!)

They just can't admit that they want to "Sorry, Mommy?" this lady. =D Andrea, you did a great job with this release, and it cracks me up how little people actually understand what "pinup" as a concept has meant historically. My wife has always appreciated that you don't go for the waifish, "boob armor" style of pinup sculpts, and this month is certainly no exception. Well done. Cue the loud "reeee!" from the neckbeards!
of course boob armor works too, the most important thing is that it's not alway "just the same". This month it definitely isn't.

Very confused by all of this hate towards the pinup? It’s a style. I didn’t see people complaining about how a topless tentacle lady would help her tribe of mindflayers, or how a naked dwarf splayed out across a stone cold altar would help with mining. Far from “virtue signaling” to show people with various body types.
Wtf would you have a very fat pinup? The 2 things are mutually exclusive. She is uniquely unqualified for the job, especially when the rest of the set are normal. Is it like some creepy fetish for weirdos? It's really gross.
I absolutely love this set. I love Vikings so this is awesome. I am curious isn’t there supposed to be an epic monster/beast included with each set now? I’m not complaining just looking for clarity because I was stoked for a Norse mythology type monster with this set.
Hello Josh! The Epic Boss slot started as Heric Mount several years ago, and after so many monsters and dragons, I wanted to make a great looking noble horse for tabletop and display to serve ad mount for heroes. The Epic Boss slot is the only one suited for that, as the regular cavalry, when I do that, is for the modular models :) It's not something regular however, but I felt we already had 1 Linnorm (serpent/dragon), many many Trolls and other monsters in various set of the past :)
Virtue signal received loud and clear on the pinup. Very stunning. Very brave. I really enjoy your work, and have backed it since day 1 (even have the founders stone .STL!) but please don't start getting woke. Can we not have 1 nice thing? Must everything be pandering wokeness? Fr though, why would a warrior tribe have a very overweight woman knocking around? What is she contributing to the tribe?
Harsh lifestyle does not directly translate to sculpted physiques. There's a reason you don't see many body builders in strong man competitions. Something different than what you like is hardly pandering to "wokeness" this is isn't even the first bigger girl he's sculpted. If this is that upsetting to you, you might need to reconsider your priorities.
Shieldmaiden without a shield?
Great observation, Salvatore! The term 'Shieldmaiden' doesn't necessarily mean the warrior always carries a shield. In Norse culture, it's a title given to women who chose to be warriors.
The Black Company, From Glen Cook's book series, are in my setting as an army of Nordic decent humans working for a powerful Lord. My players will be going head to head with them soon and these models will work perfectly!

Looking at her, even if she's modular, that two-handed Troll blade position won't let her use other setup. I'm working on an alternative version with her arms more open, so you can use many more weapons on her :)
I love this set! The pinup is hot! I love the plump, thicc look. Has a sexy, real woman look to her, like she's got kids and enjoys laughing out loud at a banquet with a beer stein in one hand. A proper northern woman!

I love the detail just feel like 6 units in different poses is abit restricting. Would love to see a few more different units rather than a helmet added or a pose change.
