Coming in August... the Blackrazor Hobgoblins!

Quick update to finally show you our latest effort, the Blackrazor Hobgoblins!

As we stated before, we always wanted to make taller goblins, inspired by the old school orcs and goblins like the ones in the Lord of the Rings and Lodoss War.
To distinguish them from the the Sparksoot Goblins and the Greatgoblin, we will call this race Hobgoblin.
Some more lore will be part of the next post. We really hope you'll like this release. It was truly a challenge to finish the Blackrazor Rock Troll and the Chariot in time, but we really thing it was worth it.

is there a way to buy the hobgoblins as a set? there is no set for purchase on MMF.
You should consider to cut that rock troll into smaller pieces like torso / legs etc because its a bit too big to print. Also that "pre-supported" models was tested to print?

Hi Ethan, every slicer I know of has a scaling function, so that much is easy. If you scale the minis down too far though, the supports and parts of the mini get too thin and weak. I use 28mm in my games, so reduce the scale to 87.5%, and have never had a problem. I'd be guessing if I told you reducing the size further would work.
These are awesome and look forward every month for your releases. I was wondering why is only the pinup to represent females this month?
I don't really have much need for hobgoblins in my miniatures, but these guys look like they could work for regular goblins if they can be reduced in size. I'm new to 3D printing. How hard would that be to accomplish?

Feral Goblins in the stlye of those hobgoblins would be really nice. But whatever you do just make what you feel like - vote free releases is the best decision ever!

Oh do you know Lodoss? Why not do a special month on it, or next to it, I will dream of having a Deedlit or Pirotess to print

Seconded! Those boars are awesome! I would love to just throw some of those at my players all by themselves! The whole set is awesome though, as usual.
Love these Hob Goblins and I'll definitely be printing out a ton of these. Any chance you might ever make a second set of Regular goblins thats less like the engineer sparksoot and more feral and wild like these hobgoblins?
One of the things I've found incredibly lacking in Patreon minis as a whole is the fantasy mainstay type monsters - stuff like regular old goblins and orcs and kobolds and such - so definitely second this

That queen if she was attached to the throne almost looks like she'd print supportless. 0.o Mind blowing detail as always you all.
Sadly it's not supportless :) And the throne is separated (you have 2, one is a bit less wide to fit in the chariot and the troll platform)

I know you guys are calling this hobgoblins but it’s almost a perfect fit for proxies of One Page Rules Orcs.
THis is amazing stuff.
You guys are my favorite creators when it comes to 3D Printing but I do have a concern. It is the way you guys do your pinups. I love Trixia, I think she looks amazing, but I don't love how she is sitting down. I use your minis in my games and I would have so much more use out of her if she was standing. I had the same issue with Flamma the Oracle and the fact that she is laying down. I understand the theme you guys are going for and I don't think it is a bad idea but I wish there were alternative poses with them standing so that they are easier to throw into our games.
Thanks for your comment! The fact is that most of the models are sculpted directly in pose, there's not an existing version of a standing or symetrical Trixia, and the Pinup is often used more as diorama / collection piece, to have some variety and to be distinguished from heroes.

I think it’s cool and also funny that you guys do pinups for EVERY release. Lizardmen this month? Lizard pinup! Silly, and somehow less sexist because you do it no matter what. But I have to say, I really love the queen’s profile. It’s a surprisingly attractive face.
Thanks! It was a challenge to make her look. The idea was to make her recognizable as a hobgoblin, but still she uses the Pinup slot and needs to be appealing, not "realistic" :)

I love them, even more than the last few months. Said it before but I have Sparksoot and Greatgoblins painted and ready for these guys! Any chance of the other side of Beetroot war soon? Gnomes and halfling..
Perfect set. Almost everything is useful from army building perspective, nice variance, melee and ranged, cool heroes, magic covered, extremely nicely done rock troll. Banners are always yay! and that chariot looks simply phenomenal! Thanks AG, loving every bit of it!
As always, love the sculpts! Would love to see some female line troops/cavalry... Lady Hobs kick ass too! :D

Fantastic Release!!!! I love your art. Not only did you manage to get a Troll mount. You made the Chariot too! Amazing work.
I had to little inspiration left for the terrain, so when it happens we make a sort of siege weapon or chariot haha. If the time is enough of course!
I would really love to see a monthly release of various DnD monsters. There aren’t really any great sculptors doing a variety of monsters as a monthly release.
Well we are not really into D&D but we could make some researches. Without copyright infrangment haha.

Has this every been asked? Can we get the mounts without saddles? Giant boars would be great as would the stags and giant lizards from previous months. Either way, this month looks great!
Yes! Please release the boars (and any future mounted animals; horses, wolves, etc.) without saddles! :)

These look fantastic! I am crazy excited about these. One question, is there only going to be one pose for the Crossbow guys? I'm hoping there might be some variety if I wanted to make a bunch of them.
There is a crossbow included in the weapons pack that you can modify with hands to suit any pose you like. Meshmixer or other programs are useful for digital kitbashing!
