Plague-Mine Kobold Trailer (September Release)

Hello friends! Please turn on the audio and click play on the video above: we are really excited to show you the trailer of the next month 3d printable release: the Plague-Mine Kobold Set!
As always, we are also providing some lore for our models, few words to share with our community what inspired us to make these sculpts. In fact, every model from our releases follow a story which is developed sketch after sketch.

If you are looking for this month (August) Monthly Release, as Patron you can download it here.

PLAGUE-MINE LORE & PICTURES

Our Modular figures are provided with ball-jointed wrists and a wide array of weapons for infinite customization, to give you the tools to make your perfect encounter/army. We use a custom 32mm  scale (for the average human).

6 Plague-Mine Kobolds (modular) Worshipers of the ancient Shapeshifter God Melmor, the Kobolds are ignoble lizard-dog horned demons who move around hopping on two legs. These short wicked monsters infest mines by stealing precious minerals and replacing it with toxic ones in order to spread the plague of their god. Cities with sewage systems are teeming with these evil and keen beings. Adventurers should never underestimate Kobolds: their innate abilities to brew potent poisons, stab and hide could catch even the most veteran soldiers off guard.

Kornutaaz the Plaguemancer (modular)
Plaguemancers are highly cunning Kobolds blessed by Melmor, the god of plague and shapeshifters. According to the Plague Queen's plans, Kornutaaz is the perfect Kobold to bring pestilence and death to the surface world. After all, he earned his place as herald by taming the monstrous Plague Zeek tunneler. Kornutaaz will make sure the metal extracted by dwarves and humans will be cursed and highly toxic.

Doggoz the Cagemaster (modular)
Even if the Plague Queen favor the plague bringer and poisonous spellcasters, her clan need a strong and imposing general to command the swarm of undisciplined Kobolds  to battle. Doggoz is the biggest and baddest Kobold, perfect to subdue large amount of minions and lead them to victory. He loves to bring pieces of his victims inside his little backpack-cage... who knows what's inside that now?

Ishtarra the Plague Queen (modular Pinup)
Chosen by the God of Plagues Melmor, Ishtarra is a powerful enchantress whose role is to conquer the great cities of humans by raising an immense horde of Kobolds right under their feet, in the sewers. Her quest will be of vital importance when the Soulless armies of Tialevor will besiege the human fortifications: endless waves of Kobolds will emerge from mines and sewers to weaken the cities them from within. Even if she appears as a sort of beautiful lady, one know the true origin and appearance of this witch, as for many other worshipers of the Shapeshifter god Melmor.

Diggaz the Plague Zeek (Beast & Mount)
Among the largest and deadliest Zeeks who infest the lands, the Plague Zeeks are probably the most terrifying. Giant armored worm-like monstruosity from the depths who spread death and plague, capable of causing earthquakes and destroy a town in few minutes. The Kobolds decided to build a platform on top of the beast to shoot spells and arrows: lucky, Kobolds compensate their lack of wisdom with their huge number. It is said that Kornutaaz managed to tame this huge beast with powerful sorceries and by hatching the egg himself. He called the thing... Diggaz.
This model is suited to be used as any kind of giant worm or grick.

Melmor Shrine (terrain)
This improvised Shrine of the sewers is dedicated to the God of Plague and Shapeshifting Melmor. It might not be the most glorious altar, but it serve the purpose of the Kobolds.

Now let's get back to work! We still need to convert most of the heavt Zbrush models to perfect lightweight STL. All the models will come pre-supported by 3dPrintingPro and we are correcting any kind of errors as he test-print the models.

This Set will be available on day 3rd September 2020!
Have a great weekend :)

Epic boss? Or regular celestial upscaled?

s
seth wheelock · September 1, 2020

Right? NGL I'm pretty underwhelmed, especially with the all the feathered wings from the gryphkin coming just before this. Definitely not as much wow factor as the previous bosses.

c
crayonbrains · August 29, 2020

I am so into this release! Ya'll are killin it.

s
seth mearkle · August 28, 2020

Anyone else watch the preview video and notice how they were all sneaky with the Epic boss? I almost passed over her! I can't wait for the set and knowing she's coming soon too is more than I can handle.

F
Fogo · August 28, 2020

These look to be my favourite collection from Artisan Guild. I love your creativity guys, and the value for money brings to the 3d printing community. My only wish is that more people share their paint jobs for inspiration and learnings.

t
tj · August 26, 2020

That checks Kobold off my list of need's, now I just need some rat people's.

R
Richard Bowers · August 22, 2020

If you mix in Twin Goddess's next month, you can add bards to the party, too. They have a Kobold mariachi band coming .

M
Mark Theurer · August 22, 2020

I really didn't want kobolds. I mean really! But then I saw the video and find them so full of character that you changed my mind. Great stuff!

M
Matterbeast · August 22, 2020

Looking fantastic! Cant wait. I will say I am a little sad that the staff from the concept art didn't make the final release. That thing looked awesome.

A
Artisan Guild · August 23, 2020

We added it, thanks for telling us! We almost forgot eheh

J
Jenelle McGuire · August 22, 2020

This may become my new favorite set!! Holy crap these look great!

S
Sean McInnes · August 22, 2020

As I replied above, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that these can be proxies for all the various interpretations of Kobolds over the years, lizard like, dog like, goat like even goblinoid to an extent! I also adore how adaptable the pin up is! It could easily be a tribal Tiefling too!!! Great work AG! As always, I let out a sigh of disappointment when the kobolds won; “yay, another addition to the overflow of kobolds on the market”. But these are brilliant and I’ve been proved wrong again!

J
Joshua Grandt · August 22, 2020

What lore source are you referencing for doglike? It was my understanding that kobolds were dragonoids.

S
Sean McInnes · August 22, 2020

1st ed Kobolds only had a text description, where they were described as ‘lizardy’ and tiny with ‘dog-like’ screams. The first time they were depicted was in the first Monstrous Manual, so 2nd ed, where they were illustrated as little dog people. The common understanding is the illustrator forgot about the lizardy part and remembered the dog-like part of the original description when formulating their imagery. Since then, they’ve even been illustrated as goat-like and goblinoid. So really, any of the above descriptions are canon as they’ve all been shown as such in official DnD lore. Therefore, AG’s representations are the most ‘accurate’ I’ve seen of a kobold race! (I’m only new to DnD in grand scheme of things, but HOLY HECK I love a good lore dive!)

R
ResinandFilament · August 22, 2020

these,... are,...so....amazing - sniff - tear

S
Sark's Foundry · August 22, 2020

Man always you guys did a great set again!

J
Jess Thompson · August 22, 2020

I absolutely adore these sculpts, but have to agree with people above about hoping for a real kobold pinup. I like the current one, but was really looking forward to sexy kobold

A
Andrew Padilla · August 22, 2020

Yes! I have waited long for the Kobolds!!!

R
Ride or Die Games · August 22, 2020

These figures look fantastic! However these are definitely not kobolds. Kobolds are dogmen. These are nothing like that. They look like another lot of lizardmen. Great figures but you should call them something else.

T
The Painted Wookie · August 22, 2020

The kobold is a sprite stemming from Germanic mythology and surviving into modern times in German folklore. Although usually invisible, a kobold can materialize in the form of an animal, fire, a human being, and a candle.

M
Matt · August 22, 2020

Holy crap this looks so good!!!!

L
Lord Chronos · August 21, 2020

Damn, I was thinking about skipping September (not cause the sculpts that are awesome as always, but I don't like much the theme)... And when I was almost sure of it, the epic boss is shown... So, I suppose I'm in for another month -_-UUU

J
Julio Ibarra · August 21, 2020

I kind of expected them to be more plague-ridden and diseased. They’re cool though!

Great great great great! Cannot wait!

G
Glitterwolf · August 21, 2020

Usually with other brands, I don't care much about Kobolds, but these are awesome, I voted for them anyway. You have exceeded my expectations, that Zeek Worm is amazing and I love the temple piece. Great dynamic minis.

N
Nicholas Brennan · August 21, 2020

That giant worm is dope

C
Calrais · August 21, 2020

They look really good! I’d have loved the pinup to have a tail, or more kobold-like feet, instead of being basically a human body with a weird dragon head stuck on it, but after reading the bit of lore it makes more sense. It’s more of a personal preference. Either way, gorgeous work as always, and looking forward to the release <3

M
Milo_Jones · August 21, 2020

DAAAAAAAAAAAMN!! They look good!!!

B
Björn Burkart · August 21, 2020

M
Mario Hernandez · August 21, 2020

That is amazing! The epic sculpt has he me so hyped for next month!

J
Jake Thurston · August 21, 2020

They all look the same... I thought there was going to be some variation so we’d have replacements for Quaggoths, bugbears, Gnolls and kobolds... the worm is cool tho

J
Jason · August 21, 2020

I think they had different horns/beards

A
A_G_S · August 21, 2020

I think the jumping kobold with the pick might be one of your most interesting and dynamic sculpts yet
