Kobold WIP (September Release) and Orc Update
Hello guys!
Quick update to show you what we are working on.
We are really happy that the Kobolds finally manage to win the poll!
We immediately started sketching (as you probably noticed from the lens story) to bring this new concept to life.
Even if limited in its size, our kobolds are still dangerous monsters from an harsh world. If the Plague-Mine Kobold Clan survived predators and monsters it probably means these little barking demons have not to be underestimated.
A little story to tell you why we wanted to introduce the Kobolds in our line.
Anyone have played Baldur's Gate (the first)? Neshkel Mines were riddled of these little monsters, and it was creepy for a kid! They were scary and mysterious: barking little demons with dog head, hopping on two legs and poisoning the metal and the miners. It was scary! Our main objective is to give them the same feel they gave me 20 years ago in the original Baldur's Gate. Not the same design, but for us, they need too look dangerous, not cute.
Spikes, poisoned blades and sharp claws. One hero will be a Plaguemancer, the other one probably a veteran warrior leader... "Doggo the Cagemaster".
Can you recorgnize the big worm on the right? What's best for a clan of Plague Kobolds to ride a big giant cave worm?
We tested with some digital painting and you will be able to paint them as both little lizards, tiny dragon-kin or even barking demon dog (our official version) without problems! Color scheme will have a huge impact on them :)

ORC BARBARIANS UPDATE SOON!
We are making the final touches of the next revamped (old) Set, the Orc Barbarians.
As always, this presupported updated pack will feature new models and a terrain, it's fully modular, and it will be give for free to the original Orc Barbarians Patrons, KS backers and even who got the bundle in the Shop. Single files will get updated in MMF too ^^
These are 2 additional figures of the Orc Barbarians... you can recognize the second is the "former" slave of the Ashen Inquisitor Alfar who actually managed to escape ^^

Lens is a short 15 second or so clip of what the producers are currently working on B-)
Loving these sculpts, and I'm excited for the poisoned blade. Quick ask: can you include a few versions of it with the poison dripping in other directions? Just thinking if it gets put on a different release it might look odd as is. If not, they'll just all be holding the poisoned blade sideways 😄

Quick question: will Kobolds be scaled down to represent their smaller size compared to your other models?
AG team...I just saw the Lens you sent out. Really loving these kobolds you're sculpting...great poses, expressions, accouterments, etc.

See, that's what I've been talking about. Modular B has a non-modular weapon, but it is too good a pose NOT to do it. Never sacrifice a cool sculpt on the alter of standardization.

I am just curious if there is going to be a discount code for the orcs for those of us that weren’t in when they came out, but want to buy them, much like the dwarf defenders.
Their previous post mentioned a 40% discount code would be made available once the updated Orc set is available on MMF.
Love the updated to the Orcs. Question, do you have a set with a generic single handed axe other than the one in Scourgelands Survivors? One that could be used for multiple sets?
Fighter Guild axe is pretty common :)
Grick mount sounds awesome, or the official art riding a giant badger. Either would be amazing

We make modular models, so you can really get more then what you see from the render, by combining weapon combinations
I bought the Orc Bundle and the Beauty seperate because that was the old method they were on MMF. I have zero complaints, but just curious, is the bundle I bought considered eligible for the pre-support?

I spent many an hour playing Baldurs gate! The mine adventure was awesome! Kolbolds everywhere! Love the idea of the giant worm as mount!
I LOVE THEM. I've always preferred the dog-lizard version of kobolds from AD&D and Baldur's Gate so this has me excited. The idea of a Grick mount is great. I have a friend who adores kobolds who these would make a great gift for also. ^_^ Love the orcs and can't wait. Question about the Orcs though and I'll bet I'm not the only one with this question. So this is the first set that I bought on MMF. I bought all 3 items on the store: Vesdra on Gorefang, Orc Beauty, & Orc Barbarians Set - 4 Modular + 2 Heroes. So if I understand your post, there will be a big collection pack of presupported orcs (like the others done so far) but then the individual items (pinup, mounted hero, 6 piece set) will get support updates as well? And will the 2 new orcs only be part of the big presupported set, or will they be also be either sold separately or added into the old 6 piece set?
They will be included in the 4+2 and the 4 pack :) update

I see a possible Grick mount? I think that'd be awesome! I always imagined gricks burrowing and digging worm-like tunnels, that would help the kobolds with their mine!

All criticism is usually because someone feels passionately about your art, but has their own opinion. I've seen other people dismiss and outright ban people who criticize. What resin is that? The ones the orks are printed in?
Those aren’t prints. They’re rendered aka computer-generated.
You should stick more to the drawings, that sword of A and the shield of B, angle those more like in the sketches, it looks better that way
But the sword will look much better in 3d and from the top of the table like that :) it has been carefully positioned on purpose like that :) 2d sketch only work from front

At first I was a little disappointed to think they would be more dog demon. But you're right, these will make wonderful "dragon" kobolds too. Hyped to have a swarm of them on my table someday!
