Oni Clan coming next month!

This is a very special day, Andrea his hitting 31 years!
We wanted to celebrate showing to the public some work in progress!
Oni Clan, lead by Yoshigruzu, won the poll and will be the release of may.
They will be in various size and shapes! Some will be completely uncurrupted (not tainted by demons) like the leader Yoshigruzu, some of the will be on a more advanced demon shape.
In the picture "Yoshigruzu" the Clan leader.
2 Oni Clan "Kyogin" will be part of the crew, bodyguards of the leader Yoshigruzu!
This 2 Kyogin are basically 2 giant ogres brothers from the Oni Clan, a male and a female. This also means that we will have the first ever ogre lady!
This is also a reference to the roots of Artisan Guild. We did the male one similiar to the "ogre cousin" on purpose, we really loved our first set.
Having 4 modular Oni of regular size, and 2 ogre size onis makes for a much more interesting composition. Considering also that one hero is yoshigruzu, one is a 2 headed Oni Kyogin Magi and still we are sketching the mount.
On another topic, D&D 5e hobgoblins are oriental themed, take a look at the monster manual, these could be used as proxies for them.

Very cool! Cant wait. I dont know if this is the place for requests/suggestions but I would love to see (foot)knight models! I would also love a pirate set! I know raging heroes recently came with a set (and I backed them!) but more is always better. Cheers! And keep up the good work.

BTW, Do you guys have an idea on the pinup? Are you gonna go cutesy like in Japanese manga? or are you gonna make it a strong, kick your butt with muscle and sexiness type? AAARRRGGGHHH!!! I can't wait to see what kind of amazing models you guys will put together!!!!
we have too many ideas (each one so different from the other). Once we have all the ladies of the set (2 orcs like Oni and 2 Ogre) we can make the pinup differ from them. Surely there will be enough strenght in those 3 warriors.
I think that Yoshigruzu looks great, but maybe a small flat spot on his head somewhere to show that at one time he too had a horn. Or is he gonna have a cool backstory to explain why he doesn't have a horn???

Regarding using these as Hobgoblins, would you consider releasing them without the horns and fangs?

Overall very nice. but please do not have the "huge 4 teeth" face version of an oni on every model. A couple it fine and I know it is something on some Oni masks and stuff but It looks stupid inpractical. Or maybe tone it down so it looks like they could actually bite someone with that.
Did you read the post? There will only be a few with demonic (classic oni) looks.
FINALLY
They look impressive but it is a disappoint (for me) creature set.
Are they medium sized creatures or large like ogres?
Mixed :) some are medium like regular orcs, 2 are Ogre size.

New faces for female models ( in the Future ) will be nice
We always do new faces, but of course our style is always visible Now on orc ladies it has not be simple (most complicate faces ever!), for tusk and nose reasons we are probably sticking with a style similiar to our previous orc releases. Models are small and we need to put a lot of emphasis on feminine eyes, otherwise they would not be read correctly once printed

We tought about this a lot, and being so massive (formerly orcs and ogres) it makes senses to keep their chest visible. Fully armored samurai deserve to be sculpted as a set to truly develop the potential, not soon of course, perhaps next year :)

Looking fantastic. Excited to see these fleshed out. Would it be possible to do heads that are replaceable - so a masked version, and an unmasked version? Would be a great way to show “the chosen ones” of the clan, and to differentiate units. And happy birthday!
