Well, well, well... if it isn't Newman with a new Goodie Pack.

So. Lots of news this month. I'll try to keep it short. I am in the process of co-creating an indie videogame studio! :)
Proper-like. With actual offices. With chairs, and tables, and huge-ass TV screens at 8k resolution in which I'll probably play boomer shooters that even a pregnancy test could run. We have tea, not coffee yet, so that's an issue. We don't have heating either, but that's less important :)
I WILL of course tell you about our projects. After all, they are independent, and thus not going to be besmirched -on the eyes of the kind of public that is ok with ultraviolent games as long as there is a zero nipple policy that goes with it- by associating themselves the kind of wholesome smut we deal with here. For now, I can say that our first project is a VR FPS full of humor which I will be co-writing, doing art for and writing all of the documents for (game design, narrative design, that kind of cool stuff), and our second (because it is more ambitious) will be a boomer shooter that I designed AGES ago and I finally convinced some mad and extremely capable people to work with me on. It is badass as fuuuuck.
"That's pretty awesome, but what about our NSFW, Newman? WHAT ABOUT SHAR???" I can hear you scream from all around me every time I close my eyes for even a second. Well, I thought that I would take the opportunity to once again say the same. I will still work on Ben X even if I have to do other jobs. I started the month doing some dialog for it, actually, fixed another stupid plot hole that had been bugging me for ages (the reason why Gwen asks "Ben" to go to town on her for the first time) and because my PC for the studio will have to be the old one I had and that I haven't bothered to repair since around the time the last Ben X build came out (yes, that long ago) and I currently have no money for it, I will have a break between quitting my freelance work AND starting my work at the studio. That means Ben X time :)
And call me weird, but I find myself being much more productive with my work on the game when I don't have to accept boring as fuck corporative animation gigs and I don't panic every 5-6 hours because I'm not sure if I'll be able to pay my bills. Peace of mind does wonders, guys.
Goodie Packs will keep coming, Ben X is not abandoned, more games are on the way. And it's all thanks to you, you mad bastards for believing in what I do.
