I still love this game because there's nothing else out there like it. I want to hold on for the end. But my patience is wearing thin.

January 10th and only up 80% complete. Seems like it gets slower for the completion of the next version the closer we get to see the next release. But I was under the impression that more staff was hired to help with the updates.

This post is now 2,5 months old... What means 'near future' for the author?

I think people see what they want to see. Me? I see a cool game built from scratch and drawn by hand. It’s not even at alpha stage and I’m having fun playing it. You? See someone stealing a dollar of your rent money.

Either you do not update the summertime saga news site, or its broken but I am becoming less and less patient. I understand if some developers are burnt out or having private issues, if thats the case then i understand you but I have not seen any thing posted about it so I am guessing the things I wrote at the top.

I’ve been holding off downloading the pre-tech updates so far, but just occurred to me to ask if each pre-tech update includes all of the previous updates as well (?)

Thinking about NFT and how good they are, DC probably would've been better served to create a new game since he finished this story. Seems like he got better at being a dev like they have since he decided to do a tech update and you can see NLT's progress from Lust Epidemic to Treasure of Nadia and, now, The Genesis Order. They created a new game each time they got better.

Kinda looking through the comments and I think it's not so much a THIS IS TAKING TOO LONG, it's more of a there's only a notification every 4-5 months. If DC took like 5 minutes out of the month to provide an update, like most of the problems people would be solved. Like... "Hey guys this is taking a lot longer than normal because we'll, shit happened." We'd all kinda shrug our shoulders and say hey man it's cool thanks for the update. Like I forget who it was, either the dev for love and sex sb, or harem hotel had a major emergency and put the project on hold, everyone pretty much said, cool, you take care of yourself and thanks for the update. So it's not asking too much for DC to regularly provide an update. Like he doesn't have to roll out an update every month, but poke your head in and say "it's delayed, we're human, mea culpa." I mean we're horny bastards, but we're still human.

I was kinda of relieved when I saw everyone was complaining that it hadn't updated yet. I was starting to think that my patreon was broken or something.

I really think this is a Frankenstein situation (Google, look up the old movie, or read the book). DC created a monster, a fantastic monster, but a monster non the less. It has become to big and out of control. I think the bots are DC and the crew trying their best to let the people coming after their monster with torches and pitchforks to let the monster die. Bruh, I left and came back and this sh*t still ain't finished? Homeboy should probably just call a spade a spade and admit that he can't do this. Again, the smart move would probably just let someone else dev the game while he collects on the IP. What's funny is that, the people who defend him clearly don't understand economics. Yes, the game's free but we pay him so you'd think he'd incentivize us to keep paying him and pay him more because, unless he has a job that pays way more than this, this should be his top priority. This game should be a cash cow with merchandising and the like but DC just seems to not understand that, at the very least, you should communicate effectively with your Patrons. NLT is on their third game that is way more complicated than this and they not only give us updates every two weeks but communicate to us in the off weeks. A quick "Hey, this is what's going on..." isn't too much to ask. The fact that he's not in here telling Summertype and the others that are telling us not to pay him to shut their f*cking mouths tells me all I need to know about him. It was fun while it lasted.

I’ll say it again, you have ppl either totally fine with the progress or flat out pissed off. There’s very little in between, and I think that’s a problem because most of the comment lean toward being pissed. With that, the top of the month is starting soon and you can make a decision on how to support moving forward. If you’re too pissed, go ahead and cancel. It would be nice just to get another update before or at the start of the month. That’s all I’m saying.

4 months since the last 'small' pre-tech update. Great game but, WOW! The apologizers will jump in and tell me to chill out, but it's actually very simple: If you're not going to come anywhere close to delivering on the timelines you have committed to, then stop stringing people along. That's why people are getting upset and feeling they're getting scammed. If it's 3 small updates per year, then just say so and deliver on it!

Let's be honest, we just want more content with everyone we have yet to explore. Mostly moms of different characters and side characters that have yet to get their story. And once all these have been fulfilled, I'm sure this game will be the BEST adult game out there just based on its already superior story and game play.

I think he has to take his time. Like everyone says, it's free game. Once he completes the Tech Update he will basically be laying himself off. He may start new interest with an Annie or Judith storyline, but his payroll (and lifestyle) is probably dependent on what he's making now.

Reading the complaints from others voicing their 'opinions' is driving me nuts. You have no idea how much money is being made by DC, all you see is what is paid into this site. How much is taken by Patreon? how much is DC paying the team, How much is DC paying for servers and overhead? for example 75,000.00 a month into patreon for 1 year is 900,000 -10% to patreon (90,000.00) leaves 810,000.00, 12 team members making 65,000.00 a year (well below developers pay) equals 780,000.00 leaving only 30,000.00 to overhead. DC is not just sitting back drinking Champaign and eating caviar. he is on stream almost everyday showing his work. My point to all of this is don't judge anything until you have the facts, the full store. It's the same with watching anything on social media or the real media for that matter.

Doing it right rather than doing it fast makes sense. Every new layer of complexity slows things down but makes the game deeper. At some point this game will be complete and a new game will be in the offing but for now I am enjoying the journey. For $1 a month? That is so cheap. Considering I have probably over 80 hours of gameplay in so far? Wow. This is one of the best bargains in gaming since buying a copy of minecraft many years back.

To all the people complaining and the ones complaining about the complaints, I get it. I am a developer, I have trained developers and software engineers and have worked on games, logistics tracking, and other BS. This is getting drawn out FAR too long. I started paying DC back in February 2019 and this game was supposed to be completed in 2020. Three and a half years later, the game has a bit more content but not enough to justify the amount of money DC rakes in every month.

Just keep trying the best you can mate, I know it has be a long painful wait for the tech update, but I hope the end result is worth it and so you can get some of these flying monkeys off your back. And I hope to see pregnant Roxxy very soon.

Honestly we don’t need pre-tech updates. People will hop on the game, play and complete its content within an hour, and then never touch it again until the next update. It’d be far more efficient to just put all channels of work into the upcoming update rather than side channels that add very little in terms of the actual game.
