Update on my status, good news IMO!
I know I said I was going to save this for tomorrow, but I got excited when I got home and wanted to share it with you! I ended up going to see the doctor at her office today, because an appoint opened up due to a cancellation, and I was on the wait list to call for an in person visit.
Ok, so she gave me two options. I could either type for an hour a day for three weeks than I'm cleared, or give it one more week of no typing and I'm cleared to do as much as I want. She said even if there was some pain, it wouldn't make a difference to the overall healing of the injure at that point.
So, I'm taking the option we both liked better and giving it another week. That means development will begin on the 9th, and the first dev update for Ch. 16 will be on the 23rd (two weeks after I start as usual.
Overall it will be an increase in productivity, because an hour of writing would give me maybe like 30 renders or less a day. So, that's not very efficient.
Someone message me and called bullshit, so I'm including pictures of the injure attached to this post (don't look if you're gonna get grossed out). Why am I doing this? Because I hate it being implied I'm lying by anyone. I'm always up front with you guys about everything, even when it would be in my interest to hold stuff back. I'm just not wired that way though. I work to serve the game and the patrons of the game. NOBODY wants development of Ch. 16 of ODAAT to start more than I do. I'm going stir crazy!
Again, thank you to those who have been understanding (which is 99% of you). As for the person who wasn't, you must have not have been paying attention to who I am for very long. So, there's a timeline of pictures attached, along with a proof of life one, before I finished this post. Just to squash any doubts.
As always, hope you are all doing well, can't wait to get back to action! Cheers!

The biggest problems with deep cuts is the internal damage. The skin heals quickly. Put a bandaid on it and it looks fine in a few days. The internal damage can take forever. I accidentally put a staple from a staple gun into my pinkie (into the bone) on both sides of the joint at the hand. The holes disappeared within days. Couldn't bend my pinkie without pain for over 6 months.
Cut myself on two fingers slicing tomatoes in 1968. It was 1971 before I could play guitar without picks. And the scars still show up in fingerprints to this day.
I haven't even tried to pick up the guitar. I can't much anymore because of the nerve damage in my left ear. It's just too loud even acoustic (I can go a song or two and that's about it). But there would be no possible way I would play right now. Hurts just to think about what that would feel like. If it were on my right had it would be fine but it's on the left.
didnt look cause i trust you. Keep up the morale and take it easy. We can wait for a quality game. :)
Ouch that looks painful, take all the time you need your health is far more important than the continuation of the excellent story that is ODAAT. That said looking forward to ch16 when you are able to release it.
Yeah, no need for me to look at the pictures. I trust your word on it haha. Feel better and take your time!
Ouh... I shouldn't have looked at the pics. I'm with @Belly97 here. Take your time.
Did you just give me the finger?
I knew someone was going to say that. In fact, had I got a post like this I would have said it! Lol
Just ignore that person and take the time to get well. Your health takes priority over any work.
Yep, that must of hurt lol , it healed well though ;)
Yeah, now it's just a nagging sort of thing. I talked to somebody else who had something very similar. They said their fingertip felt like wax and would get irritated for months after it happened. That's what I'm experiencing, which is fine as long as I know I'm not going to be you know damaging it further. Or, making it so I would have to stop again. That's why I'm giving the extra week that she suggested.
People that question an injury are not worth the effort ignore the haters.
