Bad news on new processor delivery
Just as a cautionary tale. Never buy from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. Buy direct from Amazon!
Long story short. I have my PC tore apart and ready for the processor. Then I get an update, even though I paid for 2 day shipping that it wasn't going to be here til the 20th. So, I went through Amazon customer service, and got a refund. Then, order a CPU directly from Amazon that will be here on Thursday. I'm not going to put my old processor in the new mobo for 5 days, just to have to take the cooler off and switch it again.
So I won't be able to start rendering til Thursday. I will however be able to update WT's, Mods, and write on my Laptop.
Just letting you guys I know there will be a slight development delay due to this for the next update.
Trust me, no one is more pissed off about this than me. I just want to always continue to be transparent with all of you.

So it could be worse!!!
My major problem was replacing parts for a machine that the manufacturer no longer supported. Neither Amazon direct or any 3rd party could supply them. Had to buy brand new (much more expensive) just to survive.
I feel safe doing 3rd party because you can still get a refund and Amazon gives you the benefit of the doubt instead of the seller. Only had problems with 3rd party once and it was on a big ticket item like this.
I agree with you, but if one needs it for productivity it's probably better to go direct. Just IMO. I know I can get my money. I just needed the item. Plus I already tore my PC down.
Thanks for the heads up Zoey, not that I buy anything fro Amazon anyway
