How to Install Cloud Meadow
This is a step by step set of instructions that will be linked in all future builds posts. If you follow these instructions exactly then you should be able to install the game.
Important note:
Run the executable AS an executable, do not try to extract it, do not run it through 7zip or win.rar or any other extractor. The Executable -is- the extractor. Just double click the .exe file.
Also insure that all files have the correct names. no (1) or (2) or whatever at the end of the names. The names of the files need to match the names of the download links.

I installed it, it works, but now it runs seperately from the steam version, is there a way for them to mix? i don´t want to start a new game and lose my previous loads.
Nope, the Patreon files and Steam game are separate, Steam will usually lag the Patreon build by a month or so. Starting a new game is fun, though! I do it every new major build!
Yo I'm having hell trying to extract the game. I tried following the instructions and no good. I even tried in a new folder and re-download the files and still no good. Is there a less complicated way to unpack this?

Doest it matter of what system you are downloading to? Because I notice that there is still an issue of it not working for some and I'm running on windows 10. I did the directions exactly stated and I'm still getting error messages. Any updates on fixes? Or no, are the people who are contributing to something we want to enjoy who can't enjoy? I'm just saying, if I'm paying to support, would like some support back. Sorry if I sound salty. I just want to enjoy the game.

Hello, so I actually got this game off Steam if I download this update will it reflect on and update my version on Steam or no?

I made a whole new folder for the update, loaded the game and my save file was still there

Hello! I read above that you can load your Steam saved data onto the Beta by pressing Windows + R, but I don't know what to do next to find the saved data and load it into the Beta. Do you guys by any chance have any Step-by-Step how-to on loading Steam data into the Beta build? Thanks!
I FIGURED OUT WHAT THEY MEANT!!!!! So in the same place where you found, Appdata/LocalLow/Team Nimbus, if you've downloaded the Cloud Meadow version from here (Patreon) already, there should be a "Cloud Meadow Beta" right under "Cloud Meadow". Paste your save file into "Cloud Meadow Beta". This took me an hour to figure out, but it worked!! I hope you read this!! <3
Have not been able to get this installed. I verified the file names. Everything matches. I'm installing it into the same directory and it keeps saying "Can not open output file : The system cannot find the specified path".
For people having this problem in the future, I saw this when trying to extract the files into a folder in 'Program Files'; I guess the app or user needs elevated (administrator) access. Extracting the files into a folder in 'Downloads' worked without a hitch.
I don't know how to download what every the heck this is! Can someone please break this down for me, I keep link the file but it saying that ti cant open. Why is this so hard. Never mind I didn't have the right 7z. BTW if your having the same porblem as me the 7z you need is 7z1900-x64.exe if you have windows, i downloaded the wrong one. Oh and you have to place them in a new folder so the thing will work, sorry if this is long.
I am also having issues getting this started, I downloaded the latest Patreon version, put the .exe and three 7z files in the same location, ran the exe and it extracted to a new folder 'Cloud Meadow Beta 0-1-2-3'. Running the exe within that new folder returns "Cloud Meadow Beta has encountered an error and must close"
i still cant figure out how to do it i put them all in rhe same folder but i dont know how to do the third option please help
Has anyone found a solution to the problem of running the self extract program it comes up and says "Can not open the file as [7z]archive" "Unexpected end of data" I followed the one persons video to the tea but it keeps stopping me at the extraction point. Has there been any solutions found. If so please let me know I would love to play this game.
I found that if you dont have all the files together it doesnt work.

For those asking about save data from steam you press the Windows key + R and type in Appdata. The folder may be different but I got LocalLow/TeamNimbus/CloudMeadow and your save data should be right there. You just have to copy and paste it into the CloudMeadowBeta which should be in the same place as CloudMeadow.
I found my data, but do you know where to put it so you can load it? I have tried every folder but nothing brings it up.

For anyone getting the infamous 7zip error, double check the names of each download and make sure they are the same style as what's shown in the example above. For example, when I downloaded the 001 link, it downloaded as 0-1-1-2f_RC2.7z-4.001 instead of 0-1-1-2f_RC2.7z.001. This occurred when I thought there was an issue with the download and kept downloading the same link. Hope this helps someone.

For those confused.. click the individual files to download them. Click the extractor (exe file) and extract into whatever folder is suggested. Move the other two files into the new folder. To integrate saves, copy and paste the save folder from your Appsdata folder into Appsdata Beta.

Right click the links and "Save as" then I ran the application as admin and it worked for me
Are you guys all actually dumb? It was literally the easiest thing to install. I clicked two buttons and it was done how are you lost. Also, try not to be an asshole when asking for help.
It is indeed possible people are dumb, Doesn't mean we need to be dicks to them. Not everyone understands how multipart zips work.

The latest "Beta v0.1.0.0a Update" does not execute as an archive. In fact, the error I get when trying to run the executable is "E:\Users\****\Downloads\Cloud Meadow Beta 0-1-0-0a_Updated_Win.exe Can not open the file as [7z] archive. Is not archive"

Okay. Nevermind. I figured out I had downloaded one of the .Lin's instead of the 1 and 2 of the Window versions

I can echo Cfdude's experience. I'm a new patron, and I'm comfortable manipulating files like this. Though I did notice that extracted files have no file extensions, just the filename. My system seems to parse the files fine, apart from it not actually launching the game at all.
same here, the files have no file extensions on my laptop either and I can't get the game to launch. I've tried older versions but that's not working either.
This is not working for me at all. I followed the directions correctly and no matter how many times I try it won't work and it's been a problem ever since this is the only way to install the game and I gave up on it. There must be a better way to download and/or install the game. :(

Some advice for some of the less tech savvy members of this community: Never install a program in your documents folder.
There shouldnt even be a documents folder on that level, he just named the folder documents i think.
