State of the Code July 2018
Hey all, KodexKommander here again to give another short term roadmap of what we are working on this month.
Here are some highlights of what we are working on this month:
Story content(The goal is to get to the first Boss Fight)
Kaleida added to combat
Improved screen resolution support(Finished in time and was added in Hotfix G)
We've spent a bit of time looking at how to best preserve the quality of the artwork running in-engine. Fine details, sharp outlines and smooth animation are all important qualities of our chosen art style, so we've made changes to preserve the quality of the sprite work at any screen resolution of your choosing, as well as the smoothness of the camera while in motion.
Recently Ursa and I have been looking into ways to reduce the file size of the game - currently 3.74GB. Ursa is experimenting with something that would patiently reduce the file size of combat animations greatly, reducing them from 1.3GB. I did some experimenting during the process of the hotfixes and believe we have an idea on how to diminish the overall installation size.

Joined Yesterday. Downloaded the game and installed ALL hotfixes. Can't battle the cat-people nor enter the dungeon, it won't allow me to select my team. The public version worked, but the Patreon version doesn't. Even transfered my saves, they don't do the dungeon now either. What am I doing wrong?
I got a general Question (Nice game btw guys <3) When i upgrade my well to Mr. Bucket and then plant my seed,s they got automatically irrigate and at the next day they where all ruined...why? I tested several Water status, from Dry to Wet but they always get ruined..how does Mr. Bucket work? i dont understand
You might have had the wrong sort of plants planted. The amount of water they need varies on season.
Would you put lower resolutions? because i cant run it in my computer, and add more compatibility with better and bad computers?
It's not like the pixel combat animations are that high res, how could they be taking up so much space? Have you tried out TexturePacker for your sprite sheets?
3,74 GB? How does the game have that much when the demos that we have are just around 200 MB?
Check the game folder, after extraction, the game is 3.74 GB. From around 200 MB to 3,75 GB, thats a pretty good file compressing :D
Honestly I wouldn't sweat too much over dropping the file size. Most games are several gigs these days at the very least.
