I'm an 80's & 90s wrestling fan who dropped out during the late attitude era. Have periodically checked in on new stuff, but that's it. Since discovering OSW during the pandy, I have checked in on new stuff a little bit more often. This Rhea Ripley woman is a star. I would love one of your "modern era one offs" to feature a PPV with her. Hearing the boys take on her would be fun
The WWF’s transition from New Generation into the Attitude Era. Arc starts at Survivor Series 1996 and ends at Survivor Series 1997.
WWE 97 - GANG WARFARE!
Or The Nation of Domination story arc starting all the way back to the beginning when there were 20 dudes, including Crush brah, damnit d-lo, and the white guy who would rap in the way to the ring. It was a mess.
Really late to the party with this but what about covering Lex Luger’s NWA/WCW PPV run from late 87 onwards? You’d get to review by default Flair and Steamboat, Bunkhouse Steel Cage matches, Robocop “run” ins, Midnight Express, Road Warriors, pre-Undertaker Mark Callous, Prime Arn, Flair vs Lex world title matches, Abdullah getting fried etc.
Cunt Michaels run as top guy. Royal Rumble ‘96 to WrestleMania 14 would be awesome.
Cunt Hogan, the TNA years
You guys have never touched early WCW (90-92), I think you guys would enjoy really enjoy it for both the great wrestling and awful wrestling / wrestle bolix. If I had to narrow it down specifically, I would recommend doing a 'Black Scorpion' story arc; gobshite at its absolute finest, fellas. A lot of underappreciated matches and gimmicks during that time as well. It has everything. Cheers!
I think there’s more than enough bollocks in the attitude era to carry a 6 part series.
Main Event Mafia all the way. Give me Black Snow and Chet Lemon
USA vs Canada - WWF 1997 start at Royal Rumble 97 and end at Survivor Series 97 (could do WM 13, Canadian Stampede, Summerslam 97 during the story arc)
Heel Bret in '97, end at Canadian Stampede.
Some main event mafia or aces and 8s. Give me all the tna bollocks
I know it's unlikely, but I'd love to see you guys do a Lucha Underground Arc, 3-4 episodes per video, and do the entire series. Big ask, but Prince Puma, the murders, the undercover investigations, the blood, the violence, the ridiculousness, it would be amazing.
I think this is the more original and cool idea on the list. I know fuck all about Lucha undergroud
Would be good to have something focused around undertaker. Like the undertaker vs Kane or mankind feuds or ministry of darkness arc
Hollywood Rock Arc
T. N. A. BOLLIX.
Two words: Mr. America.
You Should do the WCW/ECW Invasion.
I'd love to see you cover some of Lucha Underground at some point - it really was some of the best wrestling in recent memory.
Two words: New Blood. That is all.
Have you guys considered the Summer of Punk? Really enjoying a rewatch of the All Out PPV, and also having covered his introduction to the WWE with the ECW arc, I think it might be interesting to cover the pipebomb and all of the promos and storylines building up to Money in The Bank + all of the Kevin Nash Triple H bollocks getting thrown in there, you could wrap it up nicely with Survivor Series and Punk regaining the belt from Del Rio to start his year plus title run (and bonus Rock/Cena main event!) It wouldn't be too many episodes to do and it wraps the story up nicely to be revisited later (if you ever wanted to get into Punk's heel run as its own arc at another time) I think it would be interesting to revisit the promos from Punk, Vince, and Hunter especially with 2023 perspective lmao
Eddie Guerrero WWE retrospective would be awesome. His initial run as a Radical and Latino Heat (Wrestlemania 2000/Judgement Day 2000/ Survivor Series 2000) His release and return (Wrestlemania X-seven / Backlash 2002) Los Guerreros (Survivor Series 2002/SummerSlam 2003) WWE Champion (No Way Out 2004/Wrestlemania XX)
Eiter early 90's WCW or the birth of AEW (All In, Wrestle Kingdom 13 and Double or Nothing)
I would love to see another ECW arc where you review shows from the original ECW that you missed during the first arc (November to Remember 97, Living Dangerously 98 etc) Or possibly a WCW arc during the time Ric Flair went to WWF from 91-93. You'd get lots of good wrestling (Pillman, Stunning Steve, Rick Rude, Vader) but also TONS of bollix (Big Josh, Oz, Chamber of Horrors, Spin the Wheel Make the Deal)) I even have a list of shows from this era I can send you, if you're interested.
Just watched Mania X and you said it yourself. 2007 TNA
Brock’s run in 02/03. Bit of Jay’s favourite Test/Brock at King of the Ring, Summerslam 02, No Mercy HIAC vs Undertaker, Royal Rumble ‘03 and Mania 19. Lots of bollocks to go though as well, got Katie Vick, Al Wilson, etc.
Stone Cold’s WWE arc. Very 1st WrestleMania (XII) right through 1996 (Yes, 1996), and the end of the the Attitude Era.
I really want to see you guys reviewing those 1996 PPVs. 1994-1997 were my main wrestling watching years
main event mafia
I'd love to see a few more Mania reviews, like Mania 12 to 16 so we'd fill in the gaps between 11 and X-7
Cody Rhodes after leaving WWE : ROH, NJPW, AEW
If you guys end up picking TNA, somehow get Victory Road 2009 with the peak of women's wrestling Jenna Morasca vs. Sharmell
Goldberg's first run in WWE.
i bet OOC would love this but i'd hate it (reign of terror triple h!)
The 2004 Eddie Guerrero WWE championship run. Smack down on January 29, no way out, wrestlemania 20 and Judgement Day 2004
Main Event Mafia or Monday Night Wars 2
HBK first Title to forced retirement/ Attitude era/ Austin Era
A real look at the invasion angle. A proper deep dive from beginning to end would be class.
we'll definitely do this at some point. could be today, could be tomorrow. but soon .... and for the rest of your life!
- would love some more TNA bollocks, don’t care when from - perhaps exploring NXT? Either the game show or the rebirth as a brand of its own? - 80’s WCW always seems to be incredibly odd and wacky. Hell, all of WCW feels like a fever dream as someone who grew up watching just the WWF - a Women’s Evolution arc? Don’t skimp on the mistress of ceremonies and creator of women: Stephanie McMahon! - perhaps the aftermath of Montréal up to Austin winning at Mania XIV? Survivor Series 1997 has been done to death but how they got from there to Stone Cold ascending to the throne usually is only shown with four specific pieces of footage (I know this annoys OOC, I can feel it)
The rise of the Rock arc. Start with Rocky Miavia in 1996 ‘Rocky sucks’ era, to his heel turn and Nation of Domination gang wars bollocks, end with the Corporate Champ!
The NWO wwe run 2002.... Vince's POISON looking at it now he just brought the NWO back just to kill it lol Shawn Michaels lead nwo would have worked... I still pop when Michaels kicks booker t
Go Bills
Early TNA and the KING OF THE MOUNTAIN
Rooting for Hogan TNA
the summer of punk! the biggest storyline the wwe had in a decade, which immediately shattered right as it got white hot. from the all out review, you seemed definitely interested in the current bitter jaded ego of punk, and i think there is a worthy dissection in that arc of how he rlly got there
TNA ANYTHING TNA BOLLIX
Early 90's WCW! 😀
I'm all for a HBK retirement arc. From WM 25 vs Taker all the way to the the career vs. Streak match in Mania 26 and the speech on RAW after Mania. In between we get to see the Summerslam DX reunion in bollocks, being tag champs, the Legacy feud, The Bret Hart Reconciliation, Royal Rumble and Elimination chamber 2010.
Eddie’s heel turn on Rey and program with Batista
How about the rise of Brock Lesnar? Includes the last real KOTR PPV w/ the bitchin' Test match, his SummerSlam 2002 match with the Rock (which is an all-timer PPV in my opinion) and coincides with a lot of interesting things happening like Austin walking out and Shawn Michaels' return. Could even cover up to his Royal Rumble 2003 victory-that PPV has Steiner vs. HHH, a top-3 Kurt Angle match, and the storyline where Torrie Wilson's father dies from being too horny.
What's that, King of the Ring 2002? Test Lesnar! :D
Aces and Eights! Some real TNA bollacks please!
my God, this was the storyline that made all 3 of us quit TNA!
The Montreal Screw Job
Austin getting hit by the car
The Hulk Hogan WCW arrival
Main Event Mafia or hogan tna arc debut in January 2010 - Victory Road 2011
Anything TNA but especially Main Event Mafia! Chet Lemon + Black Snow, peak Steiner, Sting wearing a suit. A perfect time in wrestling.
Put me down for 2006 DX reunion. Some turbo bollocks mixed in with some great angles from that time.
The 3 faces of foley. CJ wcw and ecw run. Mankind hell in the cell match. Dude vs Austin. Lots of great stuff. Plus u guys r always shitting on mick, this would be a good way to get him back over.
Mega Powers - old ones are 10 years old. Summer of Punk....More dudgeon of doom....WCW 1991
The King Mable era. Can't get enough of new gen bollocks!!!
Invasion is my favorite failed angle of all time. I'd love to see that. If not that, then....nah, fuck it. Do the Invasion, please. It's the best (worst)!
Agree
Perhaps a return to the rich lore of TNA (Aces & Eights, Main Event Mafia, the ballad of the Alpha Male Monty Brown...I'm sure there's plenty more shenanigans). Or whatever era of WCW produced the Black Scorpion/Robocop/Barry Windham as Fake Sting madness...and how could I forget: the title run of the man who should've been in the hall of fame - Rubbish! Ronnie! Garbage!
I'd say either WCW bollocks or TNA bollocks.
I'd love you see you guys visit TNA again. I'm sure even during their height of around 07 there'd be some bollocks. But any time frame of theirs would be radical.
Something from early to mid 2000s WWE (anything post X7) is long overdue a visit, must be an untapped reservoir of bollocks (and some good stuff).
WWE Post-War/Invasion would be banger. Maybe starting from Vengeance 01/Rumble 02 to Summerslam 02 if you want to avoid the Reign of Terra or even WM19 if you want to do the long game/go full bollocks. OG Brand Split, Hogan Still Rules, Crash of the nwo in wwe, and the rise of Brock would be good revisits imo. Especially given that its now 20 years since that time frame.
The Quick Rise and Swift Fall of Muhammad Hassan
Hart Foundation. Would love to see you guys go over the Bret Hart heel run and the Montreal Screwjob.
Dangerous alliance story arc. Halloween havok 91, clash of the champions vxii, starcade, super brawl 2, ending with wrestlewar. True bollocks (chambers of horrors match) and greatness (war games) , loads of familiar faces early in their career and the break away of wcw from nwa. Lots to talk about in an era largely forgotten.
We need a deep dive into the Kizarny saga.
"Listen to that pin drop!"
2003 Royal Rumble, Brock, Steiner Triple H, Benoit Angle
WWF was losing the monday night wars and they needed a change... That change came in the form of a Sycho Sid title run. Survivor Series 96 - Wrestlemania 13.
This is a bit of an odd one, but I'd like to see an arc of WWA. It was a short lived promotion based in Australia and was kind of the bridge between the end of WCW and the beginning of TNA. It also has Bret Hart's first PPV appearance post retirement if I remember correctly, and a main event between Nathan Jones and Jeff Jarrett. You could also use Global Warming, SuperShowdown, and Bart vs. Australia for aussie themed Brucie Bonus episodes.
i'm pretty sure i've some WWA DVDs around - if not an arc then a watchalong perhaps ;)
80s NWA PPVs
Just because it's somethig different, how about Andy Kaufman vs Jerry Lawler? Could work in Man on The Moon and Jim and Andy footage
The mess that is Aces and Eights
I'd love to see 1989 NWA/WCW, with the great Flair matches along with young Sting, Steiners, Pillman, Sid, Shane, etc. (and a couple of good Luger matches). Plenty of old-fashioned bollix and terrible gimmicks too!
Joker Sting!
I'd love to see a Kane / Undertaker Arc from Kane's intro at Bad Blood through to WM14 with a few little brucies thrown in OR an Invasion angle
Daniel bryan from start in WWE as an amazing indie wrestler, through not being given the push at wrestlemania, ending with being finally pushed.
Daniel bryan from start in WWE as an amazing indie wrestler, through not being given the push at wrestlemania, ending with being finally pushed.
I know you guys don’t want to do attitude era bc of the inevitable conversation that has to be had about Montreal, but I’d love to see the actual vince vs stone cold arc. Like from royal rimble 98 through to maybe survivor series 98 I think would be fascinating to see you guys cover. Plus there’s a FAIR load of bollocks in there that a lot of people forget about. And then only a passing mention of Montreal is needed to get the story.
TNA! TNA! TNA! Just shower us viewers with that sweet time when Jeff Hardy created the shittiest title belt ever made and was a part of one of the most ”meh” assemble cast ever: Immortal
Insane Vince in 2003 arc: Mr. America, Zack Gowen, Stephanie, and Undertaker
King Mabel just because id love to see you guys cover the shit of King of the Ring 1995 and there would be more Mo. But i appreciate you guys may not want to do that so soon after your new generation lex arc . Heres some different suggestions - So Bret harts last year in wwf from survivor series 1996 - 1997 would be cool Something from the Nwa or early wcw would be fresh like the black scorpion or the dangerous alliance . Some tna bollocks like joseph parks/abyss or the claire lynch storyline . Million dollar mania ending in PAUL! PAUL ! PAUL! Both summers of Punk
I would love to see more TNA. You could go with Main Event Mafia, Aces and Eights, or from when Hogan took over creative to him leaving. Heck, you could even go with the Rise and Fall and Rise and Fall and Rise and Fall of the Beautiful People. Failing that, pre-Hogan WCW or older promotions, including the NWA, might have some relatively untapped bollocks to take the mickey out of.
NXT (original NXT) Season 4. TONS of bollocks, could do 2 shows an episode. And I know what you’re thinking “The Great City of Tulsa Oklahoma”
It'd be long, but the rise and fall of the nwo
Evolution
Already suggested this on Twitter... Party Marty Janetty comeback tour. His returns before getting fired again. You did Rumble 93, so begin with RAW where Marty beats HBK for IC title. In Your House in 95 against Goldust or a New Rockers match from 96. Skip to 05, he teamed w/ HBK on RAW & faced Angle on Smackdown. Even make quick mention of him having a big ol smile on his face when joining the Mr. McMahon Kiss my Ass club in 06!
I got 2 idea's The 2nd Monday night wars with Hogan and Eric running the show up to when Hogan quits. The is a lot of good stuff to talk about during that time just for them to try and pull ratings. The ring of power, Orlando Jordan and Garett Bischoff to name a few Or WSX the failed MTV show that a lot of major stars who are around today are was in since that also needs a deep look into and being a lot of good bollocks as well in that
I'd like a Scott Steiner arc following his transformation to the big bad booty daddy. But that might be too much WCW at the moment. I wouldnt mind seeing some TNA, I got out of wrestling just after WCW shuttered so would like to see some more of that,
TNA August 1st warning arc
Hands down, it has to be Hogan and Bischoff's attempt at a Monday Night War in TNA. The names that appeared and the storylines they came up with just to grab as much attention as possible. The fact that WWE ran Bret and Shawn directly against it. Mix that in with the brilliant legit talents that TNA had at the time. *Chef's kiss*
Full ecw from start to finish arc
Vince vs The 'YES' Moment: Wrestlemania 18 Daniel Bryan loses in 18seconds to DB winning the title and is immediately double crossed by HHH, the company actively tries to bury him, gives his chant to the big show, Batista wins the first Royal Rumble that the audience turns against, seattle hijacks raw and ultimately the powers that be have to put DB in the Main event of WM.
Main Event Mafia - TNA's "most powerful" stable. Only lasted for about a year and gave us some of the best bullocks in TNA
Summer of Punk I think would be cool MITB 2011 Summerslam 2011 Night Of Champions 2011 Hell in a Cell 2011 Survivor Series 2011 Ending on TLC 2011 Get Punk Vs Cena, Return of Kevin Nash, Daniel Bryan as MITB winner, Orton Vs Christian early on, Cody Rhodes with the white IC Belt, Hall Of Pain Mark Henry, Rocks return at Survivor Series, Ryder winning the US title, Big Show and Henry breaking the ring and Sin Cara Vs Sin Cara at HIAC!
I would think a good arc would be the Batista Evolution saga considering that many people consider it to be the last long-term payoff in WWE and it would be a nice comparison to what is happening currently with Sami and the Bloodline especially after what happened at the Rumble. OOC won't be on board though! :P
The Invasion - watching the WWF destroy the best angle and lose all there momentum sounds like an OSW all time best
Unmasking of Kane arc
Rise of SCSA / Hitman's heel run / transition between New Gen & Attitude. However you want to parse it, that mid-1996 to end of 1997 has lots to dig into.
02/03, start at Mania X8 and finish at Mania 19. Hogan's return, the last hurrahs for Rock and Austin, the rise of Brock, a chance for Scott Steiner to win Roidy Magoo again...the possibilities are endless
Either continue your WWF arc or anthing from WCW
I think its time to go through The Invasion era - you've dodged it long enough. Or, covering the rise of Stone Cold in 1996 up to the Bret Hart submission match. Or, If you can cover Jean Pierre Lafitte getting one over the Klik in 1995 hes my New Gen boy! Or, a compaison piece of 1999 going between the 3 promotions PPVs. Whatever you go for its gonna be emotional - keep taking my money!
The 1999 comparison of the 3 companies is an interesting / original idea.
WCW in 1991/1992 (up toDangerous Alliance Wargames), or the last few WCW PPV's. I'd also love to see Wrestlemania 14-Summerslam 98.
I know New Japan is notoriously strict with footage, but I'd absolutely love to see Omega/Okada covered. If that's not possible, I'd love to go to the other side of the quality coin and just see WCW from post Starcade '97 through to whenever. We've seen "WOKKA-WOH-HEY!-HEY!" nWo, but only seen brief glimpses of crap like Wolfpac, 2000, and the other 500 spin-offs.
Mike Tyson wm14 arc
How about a DX storyline? Anything attitude era will be great. But I never watched TNA and that’s getting a lot of heat here. So maybe that.
3 words. Sports. Entertainment. Xtreme. Let's get real jank in early TNA, boys.
Russo's run as an on-screen character in TNA would make for a good arc.
Bret Hart's Heel run in 97 (he's basically a baby face by Montreal so last match in the arc can be title win vs taker at Summerslam 97) you would also get rise of Steve Austin and some great Mankind stuff interview with Jim Ross etc. Another option would be hollywood rock run which was short but full of quality plus great humour like mcmahon hogan feud (classic promo included). Either would be great or prime attitude era in 98, 99 or 2000. Up to you's though haha
I need retrospectives on the Legends/King of the Mountain Championship, Black Snow, and the Main Event Mafia.
Cunt Hogan’s return to the fed in 02-03. Between mania 18-19. Crazy year. Hogan comes back, brock debuts and takes over, austin leaves. Big name stars, boyyyyyys for days. Brock v test at kotr 02. Maybe not the most fun choice of eras but if you’re like me, this is your era. Peak fed.
TNA Main Event Mafia, the remaining Black Reign ppv's and the wwf/wcw invasion would all be 🔥
The death of original ecw
Main event Hardcore Holly
The Broken Hardy saga in TNA, Omega’s IWGP Championship run, or Otis’ relationship with Mandy Rose. Kinda cheating with 3 suggestions but is what it is 🤷
I guess to continue the cycle we’ve held for a while. I say we return to TNA, specifically the prime tier bollocks that is WILLOW and Broken Matt Hardy. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about that
Well, you've yet to do Hogan in TNA. I never watched TNA and it's neat to see something new to me from your perspective.
Main Event Mafia.
I'd love to see some more TNA, the Hogan era especially!
Rise of Austin: King of the Ring 96, WM13, Royal Rumble 98, WM14 with some milestone Raws as Brucie Bonus
Jim Herd-era WCW is absolute prime bollocks. He brought back all the garbage 80s gimmicks that were already looking old hat in the WWF whilst letting Ric Flair go because he thought he was past it (in 1992 no less!). I appreciate we've just had a lot of WCW though so maybe the Aces and Eights storyline from TNA? It was pure TNA in that it started well before becoming a joke and, ultimately, for a lot of people like myself it's when they stopped paying attention to TNA.
Aces & Eights would be great! Idk about it, but it’s definitely the storyline I hear most associated with “I used to watch TNA” lol
Nexus - pre nexus nxt game show (need to hear V1 do the original nxt game show theme tune) , Nexus arrival smashing cena - nexus burying Barrett - CM punk nexus takeover - where are they now? Tons of great content in there
It's gotta be more TNA and in saying that, it's gotta be Aces and Eights. It's Taylor made bollocks for you to cover. They have so much content there to cover at least a full arc and then potentially a future follow up mini arc of sorts.
JBL’s main event run: Judgment Day to WM 21.
Some Your House shows, some are really good and there are some matches there that are better than some WM main events!
My first pick is Survivor Series 96 to Survivor Series 97. Just no sell the Montreal Screwjob, that's all you have to do and it'll be a fantastic bit. If not, something TNA related would be fantastic. As much as I'd like y'all to cover a WWE Ruthless Aggression arc it seems like that time period isn't one y'all particularly enjoy.
RUTHLESS AGGRESSION ERA!!!!!!!!
Cena vs Edge Feud from 2006 (New Year's Revolution 06- Unforgiven 06) Honestly lads I'm tired of the Monday Night War period from the 90s and it be nice for you guys to finally cover something from the Ruthless Aggression Era.
Hell yeah on Edge/ Cena. I always forget how good Edge was back then, and it would be interesting to see if Cena was a lot better in retrospect
Gotta be time to jump into some Ruthless Aggression bollix, particularly the road to Wrestlemania 19, Raw was boy central and Smackdown was must watch at points. It's gotta be done!
I'd love to see my boy Heidenreich get some recognition
Some ministry of darkness? Or more TNA bollix please.
Feel like we need some RUTHLESS AGGRESSION
Hogan NWO Title Run from 96 Heel turn to Starrcade 97
HBK's WWF Title Run in 1996
TNA! TNA! TNA! Local Cunt (Hogan) ruins everything 2009.
Aces and Eights. Or some 80s Mid-South.
The Bret Hart-Steve Austin feud in the Dawn of the Attitude Era. Beginning at Survivor Series '96 (the first match), Royal Rumble '97 (Austin wins the Rumble, screwing Bret), IYH: Final Four (Bret wins the title), Wrestlemania 13 (the double turn), IYH: Revenge of the Taker and finishing up with IYH: Canadian Stampede (the big tag match between the Hart Foundation and Team America). Possible Brucie Bonus: Raw is War from 17th March 1997, where Bret gets screwed in a WWF title match and snaps on Vince afterwards. You get to cover Bret's heel run without having to talk about Montreal.
Aces and Eights or Cena's rise to the main event. Ending with him beating JBL at Mania
It's gotta be TNA, everyone will get over 🖤
Invasion or Ruthless Agression
Rise and Fall of CM Punk
I’d love to see either Invasion, main Event mafia or Immortal in tna
invasion angle
I'd love to see TNA Main Event Mafia arc.
As much as I love seeing WCW on OSW - I think it's time to go back to the Fed. Good choices might be the Invasion angle - pretty much picking up after X7 - or to keep slogging through the New Gen era, There's a LOT of Bollocks coming up, including King Mabel, Diesel shitting the bed as the worst drawing Champion of all time, the incredibly trashy first IYH shows, and ending on a semi-high note with Shawn vs. Bret at WM XII.
I’d love to see you guys hanging around the 2002-2008 era for a while, explore the wrestling industry in a true post-attitude era world and the creative struggles that came with it the way you guys did for the awesome New Gen arc. I’m sure there’s some good mini arcs you could pick out if you don’t want to go straight through the whole thing like you did for the New Gen.
I know a lot of people would prefer older stuff, but I'd love to see the OSW take on Hangman Adam Page's year long quest for the AEW World Championship.
Well it should be an arc about Evil Uno, the rise and further rise of Uno. Uncut, Uncooked, Uncensored, Un-o.. but if not that then something I've not seen before, maybe TNA Monday Night War as suggested above, or Aces N Eight.. or even Pepsi Mans pipe bomb era in the fed
TNA! TNA! TNA! And your mission? To get the Welsh Warrior, my top Boi, Rob Freakin' Terry over!!! Come on! Do it! Do it now!!!
Hogan in TNA.
WWF 97. Gang warfare
Aces and eights Please
the lead-up to hogan joining wcw. last episode is hogan vs flair at bash at the beach and you can do however many episodes you want leading up, but i specifically remember them talking about hogan as early as spring stampede. i spend more time than i should thinking about what wcw could've been without hogan's monstrous contract and i'd love to hear your guys' opinion of wcw in that era
TNA weekly's, especially Lisa, but especially the first one. 20-Man Gauntlet for the Gold. Who's that in the main event? IT'S THE WALL BROTHER! I'd also love the boys thoughts on why Harry Del Rios went into boy overdrive and came dressed as the big bad booty daddy.
I'm going with the Invasion angle... I actually stopped watching wrestling when Stone Cold turned heel at 'Mania X7, so I've only heard how repugnant this time period was haha
Goldberg’s first run in WWE. Raw after Mania where he debuts, Backlash 2003, Bad Blood with Jericho, Summerslam for biker shorts HHH, Unforgiven where he wins the title, Armageddon then Mania XX with Brock. Think of all the high quality brand split PPVs you could do
TNA! TNA! TNA! 😜 I'm thinking jumping through the Hogan era - not every PPV, just highlights/ lowlights. The Monday Night War 2, Hogan's magic ring, Flair v Lethal, Joker Sting, THERrrrrE HERrrrE, Victory Road 2011, and probably more I'm forgetting. Bound for Glory 2011 would be a good end point with Hogan's last match vs Sting, and then maybe a wrap up segment covering the rest of the time till Hogan leaves the company.
The dying days of WCW
They need to give the last year the full arc treatment one day for sure, but I think we could be doing with a break from WCW for a bit.
Invasion. Let's stop beating around the bush. KOTR 2001, the ECW Raw from Atlanta, then PPVs through Vengeance to tie up the loose ends!
TNA weekly PPV era
Main event mafia in TNA, Mick Foley mankind journey start with debut, Hell in Cell, first title win, end with Hell vs HHH , Johnny gargano/ Tommasso Ciampa nxt storyline from diy to rivalry to nxt 2.0 start
Yes its time for TNA Main Event Mafia
More WCW would be awesome…I’d really like to see the first season of Nitro covered to the Hogan heel turn and early NWO days. Would be fun to relive the horseman vs dungeon vs hogan & friends wars 😂
Dustin Rhodes in early 90s WCW, climaxing with the King of the Road match. Lots of bollocks in that period.
Goldust's first run in the fed as Goldust
Bret harts 97 surely
ANYTHING TNA related really, but Main Event Mafia is great, Hogan and Bischoff showing up to absolutely crap over the place is also going to be amazing.
Genuinely worried that it’s gonna be hogan / WCW again….so done with that now 😴😴😴😴 need some WWE again it’s been over 2 years!!
There's a ton of good options, but I've gotta echo others and say Bret's heel run in 97.
Jeff Jarrett TNA reign of terror
Been dying for more TNA! Main Event Mafia, Hogan/Bischoff era, Aces and Eights, so many possibilities
I'd love another TNA arc! My favorite is the Black Reign arc so I'd love to hear you guys dig into another era you three enjoyed back in the day.
Stone Cold Arc from Ringmaster to Walking Away from Brock
Dawn of the Attitude Era: 96-97!!! -KotR 96 / Pillman vs Austin / SS 96 -RR 97 / WM 13 / SS 97
scott stiner world title run in late wcw
Love to see more TNA TNA maint event mafia vs tna front line would be class, get here booker t talk about respect!! And get the greatest commentary team of black snow and chet lemon
Would you ever go back and do the early Manias etc again? Would be great to hear your revised take on them, with OOC in the mix throughout.
Stone Cold Shark Boy arc
I'm just here for the ride. Maybe another attitude era arc? Austin vs McMahon? Rock vs Mankind?
Jeff Hardys original TNA
The TNA - Monday Night War/Hogan era or something Attitude Era WWF like Survivor 98 through to WM15 that’d be good.
I feel like invasion is the best remaining arc for you guys. Both incredible and awful stuff throughout
Bret Harts 1997 heel turn
Bret's heel run and the Hart Foundation faction. I know you've said you won't do the Screwjob, and I get it. I do think the rest of that arc would be great to cover though. The double turn at Mania, you could do an episode of Raw that was in Canada and one that was in the States, the different reactions Bret got was really cool. The Canadian Stampede show, Summerslam match with Taker too. Lotta cool stuff to talk about there beyond the Screwjob.
Invasion Arc
I would love to see the Rise of Brock Lesnar (2002-2004) (King of the Ring 2002 (Which has one of Jay’s fav hoss matches Test vs Brock), Summerslam 2002, Survivor Series 2002, Royal Rumble 2003, Wrestlemania XIX, Summerslam 2003, Royal Rumble 2004, No Way Out 2004 and finally Wrestlemania XX with the GREATEST WRESTLING MATCH EVER ❤️😂
Yes! This!!
I’d love to see a short arc of Ronnie Garvin going for the title in the 1980s.
I hate suggesting dipping back in the WCW barrel since you just did that, but pre-Hogan WCW covering the Vader vs Sting and the WHITE CASTLE OF FEAR! You'd also get the feud of Vader & Sid vs Sting & British Bulldog and that mini-movie with the boat-bombing midget!
Mid South Wrestling - Find out why everything good in today's wrestling storylines gets compared to Mid-South
The New Monday Night Wars. The first Impact episode alone would be absolute gold: Homicide getting stuck while climbing the Steel Asylum (which ended in a no contest), the NWO re-debuting, Hogan's famous "I've been in the back all day" after they showed him repeatedly driving into the arena, the Nasty Boys debuting by not being allowed in the arena, Bubba the Love Sponge debuting, the former Val Venis debuting in a strip poker game, and a genuinely awesome Angle/AJ main event.
I know it's not you lads exact field of expertise, but now would be a cool time for like a Briscoe Brothers/ROH retrospective. Maybe discuss ROH and watch some classic briscoes matches. Vs Kings of Wrestling at DBD8, vs the MCMG, the Steen and generico ladder war, mark vs jay, all the way to the ftr matches etc. It would be cool to get your probably first impressions and see how they change over the 20 years of briscoe matches. It would be so relatable for a lot of people. The story of ROH up untill Tony Khan is so interesting, all the future stars, production changes, struggles and successes and all the while there is the constant of the briscoe brothers having absolute bangers.
Invasion comes to mind for the fed. Need to have a think for something else. Either way, can't wait!
James Carlson posted what I was going to post...an Attitude-centric arc, maybe tracing the rise of Rock, Austin, HHH. There's so much shenanigans during that time!
Absolutely nothing from the attitude era it doesn't need to be covered and it was never that good in the first place. There is nothing left on the bones
If you are dipping back into WWE, would love the Daniel Bryan arc from Summerslam 2013 to WMXXX. Potential Brucey Bonus of the 'Occupy Raw'.
RoH v CZW. Might be too niche I'll admit. Maybe Mick Foley's first retirement?
I’d love a ‘Smackdown 6’ era of review, although understandably with one of them rather prominent it’s unlikely to happen. But any era in TNA would be ripe for your takes.
Of all the previous arcs, I think TNA is still the funniest and most rewatchable. All the great X-Division matches combined with utter Russo horseshit makes for perfect OSW episodes. As someone who never watched TNA I'd love if you boys revisit it, especially the Aces & Eights era although if two hogan arcs in a row is too much I'd understand.
NXT Takeover era (leaving full sail?)
This!!!!
Legend killer arc. Side not suggestion; i think you guys should do a goldeneye review
JBL's heavyweight title reign.
The invasion storyline would be great - think there’s only 3 main ppv’s so could be a nice little arc
Main Event Maffia in TNA
I would love to see an Austin/Hart Foundation feud arc. Going from Survivor Series 96 to Survivor Series 97. It's one of the best years in wrestling history and it's got some amazing storylines and matches throughout. Plus Gang Wars. I mean what else could you want? Oh and yeah I guess the Screwjob too.
Brucie Bonus - wrestling with shadows?
TNA Immortal arc. For WWE, either a Invasion arc or one focusing on the rise of the WWE Attitude era. Focus on the main five PPV's and the B shows as optional Brucie Bonuses', Royal Rumble '97 (With the AAA World Wide wrestlers and Mils purposely eliminating himself), Wrestlemania 13 (Come on, you know why), KOTR '97 (... cause), SummerSlam '97 (Heart and Soul/Botched piledriver), Badd Blood (GOTTA BE KANE!), Survivor Series '97 (The Screwjob, get the salt out), RR '98 (Austin's second RR win), WM 14 (Austin/Michaels/Tyson), KOTR '98 (Taker/Mankind HIAC), Summerslam '98 (HIGHWAY TO HELL), Survivor Series '98 (DEADLY GAME!), RR '99 (No chance In Hell), and lastly, WMXV for one reason only... Brawl For All. XD
Anything TNA. Loved the Black Reign Arc and I never watched TNA so it's all new to me.
Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle (Genesis 2006, Turning Point 2006, Final Resolution 2007, & Lockdown 2008) youve already done Hard Justice 07 so ones already done :)
TNA! TNA!
Rubbish Ronnie Garvin's 2 month reign as NWA champion. IIRC you guys haven't done 80's NWA before. You won't have watched it at the time but it could still be interesting. At least it'd have some vintage Ric Flair.
Late New Gen up to early Attitude Era told through the Eyes of Crush going from Japanese sympathiser to DOA.
The "Not Quite" Attitude Era. Thinking 96-97 WWE. We could track the development and debut of the characters who would define the biggest boom period in wrestling. Could end the arc either with 97 Survivor Series and the aftermath, or with Austin/HBK at Mania.
Any story arc will be great. Just remember to number your pages!!!
Would love to see either pre-hulk WCW, as I know little about it, or I would also very much like it if the lads could retread some old shows like WrestleMania 1 and 3. Due to the steady rise in show quality, I can't make myself watch anything before about episode 22. Thanks, Jay.
Orton Vs Cena feud in 2009
they probably don't have time to do two dozen episodes dedicated to these guys having the exact same match over and over and over again lol
TNA Main Event Mafia!
Hulk Hogan Runs TNA arc!
lapsed fan currently doing a grand job of that
The Invasion is ripe for a good OSW-ing. Id also love to see something on Foley's "last" run, incorporating his world title win, up to the Royal Rumble street fight and finally wrestlemania. Though whatever arc you do, I love when you do a wee palate cleanser beforehand so I'd love to see another one off AEW video. And as much as I loved the other two, one based on a good show rather than an exploding Punk/non-exploding ring would be fantastic!
You’ve already kind of started but what about staying in 2003 with Tri’s terrible years and Testicle era Test?
How about WCW's Cruiserweight division from 1995 to 2001?
I think its about time you guys go back to TNA. Perhaps this time the centerpiece can be the Main Event Mafia in 08-09?
Rick Rude in WCW arc. Covering his time in the dangerous alliance and his WCW international World Championship run.
Reign of Terror. I would love to see you guys cover the Ruthless Aggression era.
Raven v dreamer ecw arc
WCW's dying days. Greed PPV, Superbrawl Revenge PPV and the SIN PPV all rolled in with Nitros and Thunders. That could lead to The Invasion as your next arc
Ric Flair 80s WCW
Smackdown 6 era
Tna arc covering angles first run Or Steve corino arc to facing dusty in ECW. Pretty much I just want to watch TNA or ECW :)
The Corporate Ministry (higher Power)... quite a long story admittedly but straight bollox
The downfall of WCW. Maybe their last shows? How it got there, besides the Archette stuff
I've no doubt they could do a great job of it but hasnt this been done to death by this stage?
I want to see the Crockett Era during Hulkamania. Late 80s through 90ish.
The return of Hulkamania Prologue: Bash at the Beach 2000 (briefly cover the rest of hogan’s WCW run before going into his last ppv) Chapter 1: No Way Out 02 (nWo Debuts) Chapter 2: Wrestlemania 18 (Hogan vs Rock) Chapter 3: Backlash 02 (hogans wins the title) Chapter 4: Judgment Day 02 (Hogans loses to that chokeslam) Chapter 5: No Way Out 03 (Hogan vs Rock 2, Steiner vs Ripple H) Chapter 6: Wrestlemania 19 (McMahon - Hogan street fight, Miller lite CAT FIGHT girls, limp bizkit and NATHAN JONES) Finale: Summerslam ‘05 (hogan vs HBK, Kurt Angle vs Eugene) Potentially brucie bonuses: King of the Ring 02 (Hogan taps out, Test vs Brock), Smackdown 4th of July 2002 (hogan wins the tag titles with Edge)
The Shield era. From NXT to the breakup and their rise to fame as individuals.
Reign of terror! TRI needs some love. And there is enough early oots bollix in there
I’d love to see you cover the Bret vs Austin feud ending with Wrestlemania 13. Otherwise you could cover Dustin Rhodes in WCW including the Nitro.
Hulk Hogan’s 2002-2003 run. You did the 80s, you did some wcw, now let’s round it out with his return and final run.
Boys I think it’s finally time for a certain mafia to truly be the main event
Aces and Eights
4 horsemen arc
With IMPACT turning 20 years old last year I thought a fun idea would be to do the first 20 NWA:TNA PPVs. There is a ton of content and bollocks to devour. Also from a purely practical standpoint with each show only being 2 hours you could also double up the recording (Looking at you OOC) Not to different to the great way you did with the Lex Express having a Pre-Show episode and then a main show episode
Absolutely this. A while back me and a mate went back and watched like the first 12. It was amazing seeing all the shit being thrown against the wall and seeing what'd stick. The roster is like a lucky dip of talent of guys on the downswing and future stars starting out. Random wrestlers show up out of nowhere one week and disappear the next. Rampant misogyny and good ol' southern rasslin' mentality. Plus, there's loads of Jeff Jarrett!
Something in the ruthless aggression era would be fun. It's an amazing mix of the company eventually having the glut of decent WCW talent, the rise of guys like Cena and Lesnar who would take over as the big stars, a cunt Hogan parallel in cunt Haitch, and of course some proper bollocks.
Start and death of Smoky Mountain Wrestling
The entire Hogan Bischoff era of TNA. Start with the first impact and then skip through the next 2 years only covering every 3rd ppv. That way we get to see you cover Hogans last ever televised match.
Hogan in TNA, especially the story where Abyss becomes a Hulk Lantern and Jeff Jarrett flips burgers!
"In brightest day, in blackest reign, no evil will escape disdain. Let those who work into a shoot, beware my power, Hulk Hogan's boot!"
Triple H’s reign of terror
NWO’s WWE Run in 2002. It can run from the Raw with the famous “Lethal Dose of Poison” promo from Vince, all the way through to July 2002 when the NWO consisted of HBK, X-Pac, Booker T and Big Show. What’s more is that it’ll include King of the Ring 2002, and you lads can FINALLY give us a proper review of Test vs. Brock Lesnar. Plus, we get more WHACKA WHA HEY HEY.
Anything TNA.
Goldberg's WWE run is something I'd like to see you cover. Also gives you a chance to give out about Triple H at his worst.
WCW during the rise of Hogan. Like the other side of the coin around the first wrestlemanias. The transition from the territories to the national scene that WWF dominated.
Here Comes The Pain Arc? the choicest PPVs/shows from Brocks first run 2002 - 2004, plus V1 gets to gush about the game, Jay gets to do a full segment on his favourite match of all time and OOC gets to give out
Would love to see your reaction to some NWA/Early WCW. The Black Scorpion angle has some bollocks.
The Ballad of King Billy. KOTR 99 - Wins KOTR FULLY LOADED 99 - Fights for the rights to DX merch SUMMERSLAM 99 - Kisses a fat woman's arse What a run
Please visit TNA, Hogans TNA run or main event Mafia. Need to get back to TNA
The Invasion Storyline, that led the changeover of WWF/E to WWE & the Brand Extension, ending at SS ‘02 with Brock beating Rock.
Think Hogan in TNA would be great...any TNA really lol
Anything TNA would be great but Main Event Mafia would light my fire.
The Invasion. Follows on nicely from your WMX7 arc, and would be good to return to that time period. You could do the Raw where Stephanie buys ECW, the Invasion PPV, and a few others leading up to Survivor Series 2001
Sani Zayn in NXT. His whole arc with not having what it takes to win the championship is one of my favourites, then winning it and immediately being laid out by KO is one of my absolute favourites
Debut years - Brock or Angle Plus can revisit some Angle in TNA after
Lesnar debut year for sure
I personally would love more TNA stuff those were great and what hooked me as a fan
Eric Youngs journey to the TNA title
Hogan TNA arc. Monday night wars bollix, giving Abyss the power of Hulkamania bollix, Joker Sting bollix, Aces and Eights bollix.
I really enjoyed the TNA videos. Maybe a Main Event Mafia arc? You get unhinged Steiner and Booker.
The Authority Era! Let’s dissect how this company tried its hardest to bury just how over DBry was, in favor of literally anyone else (John Cena, Orton, Batista, BIG SHOW! 😂) Finale would be Wrestlemania 30, when they finally had to give in and give the people what they want.
GANG WARFARE BEST YEAR 97
Aces and Eights!!! So much bollix to unpack
Definitely Aces and Eights for me dude 😄
Invasion!
inVasion for sure please and thank you!
Gotch vs Hackenschmidt! You think yer special
Rise of Cena. You started with Hulk now do Cena
