Right around the time I was hitting puberty. Good times. (Squeeze noise)
I remember when this came out and at the time I couldn't think of a movie I'd want to see less. Only in modern times did I find out the movie is meant to be a joke/parody. I think seeing it in retrospect helps because it really was Spice Girls overload for anyone around during the late 90s.
It's absolutely not clever enough to be a parody, that's just retconning when it won 'worst movie' awards to try save face. Bollocks! 😂😂 But it has fun being campy fluff and there's nothing wrong with that!

I'm actually unironically very excited to watch this. I grew up with a female cousin who's a year older than me so I've seen this movie a lot. It'll be fun to see what you guys have to say about this time capsule of bollocks.

Fantastic stuff as always. I particularly liked the intro to the 90s and how "boy bands roamed the earth, terrifying locals with their close harmony singing". Also, the. absolute. state. of those execs for dicking the Spice Girls over and forcing them to go on the dole.
spice girls keeping it very real! ilove the 'insurance' of filming them if they fail, and u can still make a docu about it!
