Heroes Retrospective WIP!
Well helloooo!
What's going down in Groovestown? just checkin' in with ya my brahs and bras. Episode 100 is coming along amazing and I thought I'd share this with ya!
So u guys really responded to the little animated bits from the AEW Retrospective so I've done a wee one for the Heroes of Wrestling retrospective!
So we record the show and I finalise the audio, so I know what's in it and the pacing. Taking that script, I go back and forth with Donald (Kirby, the artist) on what I had in mind:
He comes back with a first draft:
I give him notes (eg larger "inDemand" sign and drop the PPV, so you get the information quicker; change his body position) and here's the second draft:
then he draws the artwork in layers, so they can be animated and visual flourishes added, e.g.
Right now my boy Ruben is animating the segments so I can integrate it into the (live footage) Retrospective!
Join us for OSW 💯 in about 2 weeks!
Lots of love, Jay 💚

Please have Kim Justice do a cameo she is a big mark of you guys and her video on the subject was my first intro to this abysmal mess of a show heroes of wrasslin
I really think they should do a Japanese show or arc with her. I kind of wish they had on that recent video. These guys already have US wrestling covered pretty well but their knowledge of Japanese wrestling is much weaker, which is Kim's strength.
The only bus that crashes harder than the lex express
Glad to see this making a return, as they were a cool new addition to OSW in episode 99. I am thinking they will make appearance in the upcoming arc whatever that may be as well.
