Today's OSW's birthday!!
We've been bringin' the bollix since May 5, 2011. Thanks for being with us brahbrahs 💚
On this day (May 5) in 2011, we released our very first episode, WrestleMania 1. The show was made out of spite! The Attitude Era was getting all the love, and I wanted people to know just how awesome the coke & steroids era of WWF was too :D
I remember we'd cancelled our podcast recording session TWICE already (it was meant to be a 4-man pod; but someone dropped out last minute both times) and third time V1 couldn't make it, but we pushed on ahead, or else I think we would've cancelled the whole thing. I'm glad we forged ahead and I hope you did too!
Our original goal was to get to SummerSlam '92 - that being the peak and the first major show this side of the pond. I had to stop episodes for about 4 months between Mania 6 and SummerSlam 1990 for exams, but took the time to improve the production. I had no idea what I was doing, having no training tech-wise. Which is why early eps sound ropey - they're done with a rock band mic held up by a tea-towel in a popcorn tub!
It was also around circa Mania VII that I knew I wanted to continue, and we've been going ever since! When OSW was impinging on my work and home life, a fan we met at WWE event in Dublin suggested we open a patreon. I was hesitant but thought, if I can show my family it brings in something, anything, that there is some merit in it. So i set the goal for $400. We blew past it in minutes! I was more relieved than anything, I thought I killed OSW!
But thankfully it grew so it could employ myself and v1, and a host of freelance editors, animators and musicians too! Thanks to NoggerU we can keep going and bring what's in my leaking spongebag of a brain to life, lol.
Anyway i'll stop blathering, know I appreciate you and let's ride until the wheels fall off! Here's to the next 14 years! 🙂🍻

Thank you Jay! It’s honestly one of my favorite things in the world. Me and my best friend will just talk in OSW quotes to each other. It’s also a huge comfort show. Whenever I’m feeling low. Or things just aren’t going well. I put on OSW and just laugh and forget my worries

Thanks Jay for all the great videos over the years. OSW is a real comfort show for me now and I tend to go back to earlier episodes when I'm feeling down or sick. Can't wait for the new arc and congrats on 14 years of laughs

Congrats lads!!! I first discovered you guys back in 2018. I was suggest your 92 Rumble review and i was instantly hooked. I want to thank you Lads and the rest of the OSW family for all the countless hours of joy and entertainment you have given me and the rest of us over the years. Found Halloween Havoc 95 while searching for Hogan/Warrior Havoc 98, and have been hooked ever since. Thanks for making OSW! It’s gotten me through the dizzying highs, the crushing lows and creamy middles over the years. Hopefully getting an OSW tattoo later this year!

I love how my favourite YouTube show has 3 Irish fellas all around my age. I love that I understand (nearly) all the references even the obscure ones. I grew up watching Blackadder, The Simpsons, Alan Partridge, Crystal Maze, Knightmare, Fast Show etc and this show brings myself and others so much joy. As a proud Derry man that once went into the Mr Chippie after a few drinks in Letterkenny for no other reason than I am a fan of Osw! Keep doing what you are doing. Looking forward to the new arc whatever it maybe and if all else fails....Osw Song Contest 2 perhaps???

Cheers to you lads! (And everyone else involved) I truly truly truly love OSW so much. It gets me through my work week, every single week and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Last year I averaged 2.5hrs a day for the entire year, and this year will be even more. I started listening/watching whenever Matt McMuscles decided to Roman Reigns you down our throats haha you got me through some tough times and I can't thank you enough. When I was wrestling, hung up the boots in 2023 after 19 years of working, I used to try to make the boys laugh in matches with Luger selling. No one knew what I meant by "Selling like Luger" until I showed them and then to see you lads point it out to the OSW Multiverse, I was happy to see I wasn't the only one who noticed it! I've also done my share of Aloha Arns during my time! Here's to another 14 years!!
