OSW Update! (February)
Well hellooooo!
Hope you'd a lovely January and here's what's going down in groovestown:
Dec/Jan in OSW: Man it's been a blast being in different eras back to back, with our 2001 inVasion Xmas show and our 1989 WWF UK PPV Watchalong! To think they're just 12 years apart - from the Hulkamania Era to New Gen to Attitude to WCW/ECW closing inVasion, holy crap. We were spoiled!
The downloadable version has higher quality video for some matches that I was able to source from different home videos, which you can nab here 🙂
If you're looking for our thoughts on the 2025 Royal Rumble, V1 will be streaming later tonight, he'll be giving his opinion on it! twitch.tv/OSWreview
Next nU Axcloosiv: Irish Power Rangers! Myself and V1 reviewed the VHS special of Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nóg! Which was Saban wanting to do his own power rangers so he wouldn't have to split the money with the Japanese producers 😂 It's a whopper of a show, a wee bit over 70mins and it'll be out THIS SUNDAY!
Matt McMuscles says it's "the most patreon requested thing ever" 😂😂
re: nU axcloosiv reviews, since we finished the previous arc, V1 & I have been focusing on getting more nU requests done! Since September we've had
Night of the Demons (incl. First 5 Black Guys to Survive a Horror film!),
Maniac Cop (incl. reviewing 2&3) and
Predestination (both non-spoiler and spoiler review!) and now
Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nóg this Sunday!
Next OSW: OOC's Choice! We'll reveal what it is later into production but it's a monstrous 2+ hour epic! Audio is finished and we're well into video editing 🙂 All I'll say is there is 23 sections to this review!
Next OSW after that: it'll be fan's choice, any wrestling ppv (or TV show or film, but I doubt that would win the poll!) which'll be loads of fun too -- I'll be asking for your suggestions in a follow-up post, and then we'll ask the fans to choose from those.
TL/DR?
• OSW vs Mystic Knights THIS SUNDAY!
• OOC's Choice OSW review after that
• then a new nU review after that
• then fan's choice OSW!
See ya in the funny pages (and this sunday for Mystic Knights) Sláinte 🍻
Love, Jay 💚

Wow - I haven't thought of Mystic Knights since I watched it years ago! I'm so excited!!
OSW have shaped my humour in a similar way to the Simpson's, Mr Bean, and such and such. I do however want to heel out and suggest the souperbowl Saturday when John Cena buries the nexus 🤓
Tir Na Nógger bar? Oh me myawhstic knights...
Oh damn Mystic Knights! I'm soooo pumped for this. I was a bit too old for that show when it came out (13), but watched it anyway!
I've never heard of mystic knights but everyone seems excited so I'm hoping it's fun haha. I'm a 90s kid but I missed this one somehow, was more of a wwf, pokemon type child hahaha
Not going to lie, I'm hyped for the Mystic Knights review. Loved that show when I was younger. Hell, I made a couple of D&D one-shots that took cues from it.
Water around me!
Air above me!
I'm just gonna swing for the fences with this suggestion for the Fan Choice, even though I know it has a snowball's chance in Hell: The series finale of Tales from the Darkside, "Basher Malone". The conceit is literally "What if 'No Holds Barred' was about Hulk Hogan fighting a demon, and also his mom is his manager?"
Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog?! LET'S! FUCKING! GOOOOO! I had this subconscious memory of this show from my childhood buried in my brain for years, took me until I went to university that I remembered it existed and looked it up. That show was damn wild!
Oh man, Mystic Knights, fucking flashback there. XD And we all know OOC's choice is Hobbit 3, unless he wants to swerve everyone and it's Russian Hobbit.
Still gas the main character in it was in faircity for years cant wait for this
If OOC didn't pick the 3rd hobbit film then that's the biggest heel turn since bash at the beach brother! 😅
Good for Mystic Knights for trying "fantasy" instead of "sci-fi"...might be the nicest thing anyone's said about it!
OSW & Mystic Fricking Knights!!! The tag team of my dreams that I never knew I needed!!! Always loved that show!!
Appetite whetted. Looking forward to this Jay!
Thanks, Jay!
