Q9. Your answer to this question perplexed me a great deal. I love and I know a huge mass of minions love the models you make. Am I right in saying that you intend to make a totally different range of models for this new baby of yours and moving towards a skirmish style of play?
That's right Mark! When the time arrives for Codicex to be released, it will be our first -skirmish- 3D printable game with its own unique miniatures!
This will be absolutely amazing! Very excited for this! Can not wait to see the models. I also hope that you guys don't push yourselves to the point that you lose your passion and fire. Highlands Miniatures is the best fantasy mini Patreon and by far my favorite. I do not plan on ever leaving the journey.
I have to be honest, best I can be is cautiously optimistic. On one hand, you have NEVER let me down. Even when you released factions I wasn't interested in you did it so well that I now have printed armies for them. On the other hand I've been through this with countless Patreons. As soon as they spread out into their own , created worlds they either eventually drop what they were doing originally or at best the models suffer as they get spread out too thin. I will of course be here the whole time to see how it turns out, I just really hope we don't lose what is by far the best fantasy model Patreon in existence!
Thank you for the support Karsten, as always! That is a very valid concern, for sure. One of the reasons we are going for a small skirmish game instead of a rank and file game is basically to be feasible. We have placed upon ourselves a deadline of one year to bring -at least- the core game of Codicex to live: a ruleset, a handful of Cults and some scenery. But it is important for us to remind everyone that Codicex and Highlands Miniatures Patreon are -and will be- two completely separated projects. Highlands Miniatures Patreon will continue to be as it is today, with its own current limitations in term of what can we sculpt and what not in order to be considered proxy miniatures. Codicex will be our little child, where we will be able to finally express ourselves as sculptors and players, without limitations. And we will be sharing every step of the developmet process with you all here in Patreon!

We are at the early stages of the development so we have not think about it yet, but we expect to publish it in a few languages, like English, Spanish and French (at least).

As a merchant I am bummed out but I hope this project goes well for you. Cannot wait to see these minis (just save some good ideas for us too lol)
