We have created this post to summarize this July 2022 Release in Highlands Miniatures: Dwarfs, Sons of Ymir.
This July Release is the first one for our new fantasy Dwarf Army and it is going to be amazing. We would love to see these twenty three (23) dwarf miniatures printed and painted by the community! 🪓🪓
The July 2022 Release is composed of:
7x Dwarfs WarriorsCore Miniatures with modular weapons and shields
5x Dwarfs WarriorsCore Miniatures with two-handed axes and monopose
3x Dwarfs WarriorsCommand Group
5x Dwarfs Marksmen Core Miniatures: Dwarfs with hand crafted gunpowder guns
3x Dwarf Marksmen Command Group
All the files are now ready to download from the Drive Archive.
As always, after the month ends, we will send the files through our MyMiniFactory store to your patron emails. Remember to redeem the files and link them to your MMF account because after the month ends, the files will be removed from the Drive Archive!
As an aside note, we have seen an increase in the amount of shared pirated files in Telegram channels and other online forums. We know that we can't do much about that because those platforms don't do anything about fighting piracy, but we are going to adopt a zero tolerance policy against STL piracy and pirated files.

I don't need more Dwarfs in my Dwarf Army, but these are so nice that I'm going to do a unit with great weapons just for the fun of it.
Hope you do not mind me asking but will you be doing a command group for the two handed weapons warriors? Loving the designs :)
I totally understand, I haven't suffered personally from it but I can imagine it must be frustrating to see models you've released pop up a few hours later somewhere else. Gah I'm really excited to see what's coming next! And to get these models! And to see all the rest as well! Damned waiting :D
There's always going to be piracy, it's just the way it is. I'm happy to support by staying pledged because I want to help make sure people like you are able to actually make enough out of your abilities to keep the great models coming. For me, these are so much closer to the artwork of Dwarfs I always liked than any other models that it's a no-brainer. I joined too late for the Sunland models which scratch the itch for that kind of human army but I'm more than happy with this set. I'm very excited to see if you do any heavily armoured infantry (trying to avoid terms from specific wargames)
Thank you for your words and you support Simon! Yeah, sadly the piracy will be part of this world for ever so we try to not focus on it that much, even if sometimes it is really annoying! Glad you like the dwarfs. For September you will see the first unit of those heavy armoured dwarfs that will come to the Sons of Ymir! :)
Loving these Dwarfs! 20 warriors & 10 rifle dudes printed off already. Wee question though; is there a recommending settings for these prints? The chainmail looks like small bumps & the faces lack any of the detail in my prints sadly, got a feeling I'm getting something wrong
Hi Sean! Glad you like them! The settings depend very much of the resin and printer you are using, maybe you are over exposing the prints so some of the details got lost. For example, we use an Elegoo Saturn and Siraya Tech ABS Navy Grey as a resin with 2.5s for exposure time and the details come out quite good.
are you planning on doing all the one page rules units for these absolutely incredible dwarves?

These are amazing. I have seen much of Highlands stuff but this hit the nostalgia button for me. I love them. Any chance of crossbows or throwing axes in the future?

Some time ago I asked you about your dwarves and I was told to wait until winter. And as i'am seeing them right now I would have waited just to hold them because they are so good. At first I wasnt sold on the theme of the army because I always liked the dwarves from LotR but you nailed it with your own theme. And I see now that they will fit greatly with my empire Army. Thank you for giving these old army's a second chance. And what a great looking chance these proud warriors have gotten!

Finally! They are amazing! You keep sculpting Fantasy models, and I will keep backing. I already have 2 other complete dwarf army files from other sculptors, but honestly I love everything you sculpt so I will be printing these as my personal Dwarf army. Thank you!
