March 2022 Full Preview: the Sunland Militia!

We have created this post to summarize this March 2022 Release in Highlands Miniatures: the Sunland Militia. This month includes:
1. The Sunland Militia Unit: seven (7) core male Sunland Militia miniatures, three (3) core female Sunland Militia miniatures, one (1) Sunland Militia captain, one (1) Sunland Militia musician and one (1) Sunland Militia bannerman. The Sunland Militia Unit comes with modular heads and weapons, including swords, maces, axes, bows and one-handed crossbows. You will be able to create a melee Sunlan Militia unit or a bow/crossbow Sunland Militia unit, combined with the rest of the release.
2. The Sunland Militia Bowmen Unit:4 core specific Sunland Militia miniatures that come with specific bowmen poses and modular heads.
3. The Sunland Crossbowmen Unit: 6 core Sunland crossbowmen miniatures with modular heads and specific crossbowmen poses.
All the files are now ready to download from the Drive Archive. As always, after the month ends we will send the files through our MyMiniFactory store to your patron emails. Remember to redeem the files becasue after the month ends, they will be removed from the Drive Archive!

Hi Steve! The March 2022 Release was only available to download from Google Drive along March. You can still download it from your MyMiniFactory account through the redeem email we always send at the end of each month with the monthly release from our MyMiniFactory store. Thank you for making the weapons and heads separate. I love the modularity of your models, since I play skirmish games, and try to stick to WYSWYG.
I like the modes and always nice to get to make them look a little different poses.
I like the models, I just wish I could print them out as one piece instead of having to print the weapons and heads separately.
There seems to be something off with the proportions. I just did a normal test print with one of the crossbowmen and one of the militia and they both seem to be shorter than the Sunland Imperial Troops.
Hi Johnny, thank you for your comment. There is nothing wrong with the proportions, the only update we have done since last month is a small increase of the size of the heads and the hands, as we said the other day in another post. Here you have an example of a comparation of some Sunland miniatures: https://ibb.co/Yc9ppmt The difference you are talking about is the total height of the miniature, which is normal to find depending of several factors (armours, dynamism and action of the miniature, etc). You can learn more about the difference of proportion, scale and lenght of the miniatures and how we handle it in the third post we did in our "How to create 3D miniatures series". How well do these great models compare to the old GW empire militia when rescaled from 32mm to 28mm (would you recommend 100% to 88%?). I don't have the old empire minis with me but would really like to mix them together.
85% for the Perry sculpted-ones.
