February Release first preview: Harbor Cossacks!
Good evening everyone! 鈿旓笍
Hope you've had a great weekend. Today we want to show you the first previews of the upcoming February 2022 Release and also we want to talk about what you will see this next month. So... let's get into it! 馃敟
We though that, to celebrate the launching of the new WH III Total War, there is no better time to keep working on our beloved eastern imperial faction, so... this February 2022 Release will be the second release of Volhynia, the eastern faction from the Empire of Sun, and will be composed of:
The Harbor Cossacks Unit:6 core harbor cossacks miniatures and 3 harbor cossacks for the command group, with modular weapons. You will be able to create a melee unit with sword and axes or a medium range unit with bows. The heads won't be modular, but we will include them as separate bits to customize other units.
The Harbor Streltsy Unit: 6 core harbor streltsy miniatures, one captain and one musician. This unit is going to be heavily influenced by the polish and russian streltsy, carrying big bardiches and long muskets!
The Cossacks Light Cavalry Unit: 5 core light cossacks riders and horses, with bows and spears!
The Harbor District of Nelsk: the February and March Patreon Exclusive, composed of a map of the city of Nelsk, a big bunch of STL files: modular docks, fisherman props, wooden boats and a big harbor wooden house!

This is going to be one of the biggest releases we've ever made with +22 miniatures and props, but we think it would be great. This month we will also host the second Design Contest in Highlands Miniatures, which is going to be about Sunland.
In the preview images you can see the first 6 miniatures for the Harbor Cossacks Unit, the core miniatures and the first modular dock for the Harbor District of Nelsk. 馃帲
As always, these miniatures are heavily influenced by their historical representation but created with our own fantasy approach. We have been discussing all of these designs for the cossacks and the streltsy units in our Discord Server, if you haven't joined yet here you can do it: CLICK HERE
The first release of Volhynia was created last July, and it was composed of the Winged Hussars of Volhynia and the Daughters of Volhynia.
馃憠馃徎 Remember that you can already download all the January Release from the Archive, and in a couple of days it will be send through MyMiniFactory.
Hope you like them guys. This February Release is going to be great! 鉂わ笍

For units with multiple weapon options could a hilt without a hand be modeled to glue onto the empty scabbards on models not using the scabbarded weapon? Or just an handless weapon of each type we can chop up?
This is awesome and they go so great with my ships that dont have a dedicated crew!! So excited
Thank you very much Jonathon! Glad you like them! :)
Couldn't have asked for a better release. Love the Volhynian stuff. Fun fact- your Hussars and Daughters were what finally convinced me to get a 3d print setup. Now I'm hopelessly addicted. Patreon is a helluva drug haha.
Thank you very much Nathan!! Glad you like our miniatures. I remember the moment I got my first 3d printer a couple of years ago... A journey with no return!
Another set I didn鈥檛 know I needed
Thank you Ncholas, glad you like them! :)
Harbour Cossacks? So erengrad basically?
Oh, we never heard about that before. We had Khorinis, the city from the videogame Gothic 2, in mind when we designed this release and the city of Nelsk; but Erengrad also fits very well in here! :)
They look nice, but I wish there would be sunland crossbowmen, mages, finally crew for the Arcane cannon (mage and acolyes). Maybe a general or mage on griffon and etc..
Thank you Tonny! Don't worry, the Sunland Militia is around the corner :)
Very nice!
Thank you Karsten! :D
If I had not already drunk enough I would just open another bottle and salute to you! :D Thank you so much, finally there will be no more begging for cossacks... ...well, almost, as one can't have enough cossacks. What about some register cossacks / Kozacy rejestrowi? :D Just kidding, I am happy. Mmmmh, may I open another bottle nevertheless? :D
Yey! Glad you like them Alexander! There is always room for another bottle and to cheers for these bad boys! 馃嵒
They look awesome! Why couldn't they be last month! 馃ぃ I bought a unit for a kislevette mordhiem warband
Thank you Simon! Oh believe me, we would also love to bring all our ideas at the same time! haha
