July 2026 Preview: Sunland Updates!
Sunland Updates
A new set of Sunland miniatures is set to arrive next July 2026 to Highlands Miniatures.
As we mentioned in our latest Roadmap, while the current Fantasy Poll is ongoing, a new update of our beloved Sunland range of miniatures is underway.
This July two old units will see new miniatures, the Knights of the Rising Sun -now Sunland Wingless Gryphons- and the Fanatical Zealots -now Sunland Fanatical Zealots- and one additional set of miniatures will be added to the range, the Sunland Ogres with Zweihander.
The July 2026 set of miniatures will be comoposed by:
4x Sunland Wingless Gryphons Knights with poleaxes and lances
3x Sunland Wingless Gryphons Command Group
4x Sunland Wingless Gryphons
3x Sunland Ogres with Zweihander
7x Sunland Fanatical Zealots
1x Sunland Fanatical Zealot Captain
1x Sunland Fanatical Zealot Musician
These miniatures are designed on a 50x75mm square base.
The Future of Highlands Miniatures
On June 8 we unveiled six brand new fantasy races, each one a candidate to become the next fantasy army to join the Highlands Miniatures range. Each race has been carefully conceived with its own visual identity, historical inspiration, and narrative voice.
Now it is your time to select your favourite fantasy races. The fantasy races with more votes will be sculpted next. Those who end in last places will be sculpted at a later time.
Multiple choices are allowed.
The poll will be live until the 30th of June, 2026.
This is your community. This is your range. This is your choice.

Epic¡ Thanks Highlands
Yeah, new zealots! My mordhiem bands rejoice
Don't know if it's possible and I am really excited by what's here, but one day I would love to see a War Alter of Ulric one day.
Is the whole range being refreshed or just added to?
Hi Stephen! The only units left to be refreshed were the Knights of the Rising Sun, the Zealots and the Militia. For this upcoming month we will update the first two. The Militia will be updated at some point in the future! The older miniatures will still be available in our digital store.
Those are pretty hip(pogryph)

Hay opción de poner a los jinetes sin casco??
Hola Marcos! Los cuatro jinetes basicos -no el grupo de mando- vienen con la cabeza separada del cuerpo, por lo que podras usar cualquier otra cabeza disponible en ellos!
Any chance for new militia on the horizon?
The militia was our alternative idea instead of the Zealots, but we went for the later so.. Yes! They will be updated at some point in the future!
Nice! Ogers! 😍 Everything Sounds Great! Cant wait! But yeah seeing forward to get this ogers! 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 glad you like them!
AWWWW YEEEEAAAAA
it's chicken time!
A much needed update, the old models looked great but they were very fragile. These look nice and dry amic as well. Another great monster set Ramon ❤️
Those old chickens really need a refresh! haha Glad you like them Kevin!
Slightly worried a certain company might go after you for these no? They look a little too familiar maybe, would hate to see you guys get into any trouble. Amazing as always though of course :)
Thank you for the consideration William and glad you like them! These are generic gryphons -and generic human knights- without logos, symbols or protected IP shapes or forms. They can be found in many different fantasy backgrounds, so we believe they should be safe. Medieval human races tend to be much safer to sculpt as they are common in most fantasy ranges and backgrounds. But you can't never know with that certain company, that's for sure!
Ohhhhhhhhhh
Sunland is back!!
