Hahahaha omg I have to do this with my litterature text books. Well done Jessica.
I really want to read your book, but a hard copy isn't going to work for me, and I don't like all the locked down ebook stores that keep you on their platform ...cough... Amazon.... I've looked at all the links and all are locked to a single app or hardware. Do you sell an EPUB that can be used on an Android e-reader - an open one from Boox? I'm willing to pay - and even pay more for it, but the free (as in human rights, not money) part is important to me. If not, I'll try and get through a paper book, though that's not gone too well in the past :P Thanks!
It should be available on other options that allow for download. You might be able to find an option here: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/710890/how-to-adhd-by-jessica-mccabe/
SO EXCITED! SO INSPIRING!! YEAH!!!!!!!
I am writing a story about a teenage girl who gets diagnosed with ADHD and her ADHD teacher helps her learn all about it. Would it be okay to you if I mentioned you and your channel in my story? The book is called "The Unreliable Morgan Reliant".
Let me ask! Can you email me so I don't forget? Harley@howtoadhd.com - Harley L. Community Manager
I've been writing a novel with the goal of it being ADHD and dyslexia friendly! Are there any more resources or consultants you can share for authors doing this? It's so frustrating to keep insisting to people why certain atypical decisions are right, because the industry is so ingrained in neurotypical-oriented practices.
A lot of stuff I did had been my own idea and what I know has helped me and others... and a big part of it was working with the publisher and I was really lucky to have one that was willing to work with me. But there were times I did have to stand my ground... so sometimes it's just standing your ground and pointing out that the intended audience would benefit from having it the atypical way. Working with a writing buddy (Theresa in my case!!) was really helpful as well but I don't really have resources or consultants to refer people to.
