Why is Starting a Project the Night Before so Motivating?

Oh hello, every project I worked on and test I studied for in High School... and college! This stopped working for me in graduate school (the first attempt).
"it does come at a cost" "yeah I know" is what I said out loud in response because I'm currently struggling with damage control in regards my business due to said cost. *needs routine but can't manage to get one going* Trying for years. This avalanche I'm under is why I found the channel. I started looking for little ways to be more productive and understand why I struggle so much. And now here I am still learning and but little by little getting better.
If you haven't yet, check out her video on "body doubling". Body doubling is where someone is with you when you are doing tasks and their simple presence helps you function better. If there is anyone you can have hang out with you while you work (they can even be doing there own thing as long as they are around) that ma help a bit. I can't clean or organize my room on my own, but when my brother comes down and simply hangs out, I can get my room clean and organized in a weekend.
*laughs and cries on the inside while watching this while taking a break from a project I've been working on since 3am...because....* Granted, I've gotten WAY better at this, it still occasionally happens. My main problem right now is saying "yeah! I have time for that" and end up taking on an inhuman level of work because of Ye Olde Friend time blindness. I have been relying on a system of whiteboards and magnetic cards to manage the chaos somewhat, and I am seeing ways to improve it further and not overwhelm myself as often as I do.
