Looking for quotes for book 2! -- How you kept your head above the metaphorical water.
Hello, Brains!
I'm hard at work writing book #2!
And I want community quotes in this one too.
Right now I'm looking for quotes regarding how you kept your head above the metaphoric water during a big transition that you otherwise felt like you were drowning in.

My recent big transition was job loss and job hunting. What got me through was searching for things to structure my days around. I called them my "anchor" moments. Planning outings with friends (or even myself lol), working on upgrading my house and making it more me friendly, working on bigger projects in my hobbies, etc. The more "in order to do this, I need to complete A, B, and C" events, the better. For example, I bought plants. In order to keep the plants alive, I needed to figure out how to get them in my regular field of view, then figure out lighting, then since I had to hang lighting, I needed to move my entertainment center, and since I was dismantling it, I might as well declutter it and add the small upgrades that I had been meaning to do for like a year anyways. I was able to stretch all of that into I think I week of anchor moments So, yeah. Figure out the anchors and then plan from there. (Feel free to shorten for brevity or paraphrase if needed 😅😅)

When I end my business day, I leave a single line of text in my work journal as a quick reminder of where to start the next day. I refer to it as a “bread crumb”.
