Our multipurpose room is our basement. It has a place to sleep or watch TV on, it is an office (we don't game), it is a long-term paper filing storage, it is a kids and adults gym area with a gymnastic bar and mats for our girl, a play area and a toy storage. The unfinished part of the basement is our storage and supplies closet. I take so many trips in and out of a basement because of its utility, but I haven't thought of creating a recharging station for adults out of it. I know it is a gym, and gym things go there, but it is about it. Nothing motivates me to go there and exercise in the middle of Barbie clutter or because my elliptical is in the unfinished part stored away "temporarily" due to a lack of space. Maybe because it is so open with no doors is a reason it is not soothing or a sanctuary. I generally don't want to bug my husband, who seems to occupy it most of the time for working from home or just recharging by watching podcasts on his laptop in the evening. Since he can see me at any point and usually asks me to stay quiet, I can't just go and declutter or organize and shred papers or move the needle to make it my recharging room as much as it is his.
Ha! I have that 1000 piece puzzle and finished it last year... I mod podge some of my puzzles and put them on the wall of the playroom, this is one that's on the wall. :)
