Patreon Tier Edits: Commission Queue Closing
Hey all! First off, no need to panic- the changes are minimal. Most of you won't be affected and still reap the same benefits as usual on whatever tier you sit on. The main reason for a little housekeeping around here is due to, well...
As you can see, the commission line has grown out of control. For several years now, I've been metaphorically shoveling snow during a blizzard- I finish a commission, and a few more get in line. Not that this was a bad thing! Believe me, commissions are one of the great joys I always love to partake in as an artist online and I am extremely grateful that so many of you trust me with your ideas and desires. But I do need to close the line for now for my sanity and so future comics and stories have a chance to be worked on.
Let me be clear: I am not closing commissions forever! I just need this intense line to get under control and grind my way through it. It's overwhelming and stressful with the state that it's currently in. I cannot keep up with the way that the line grows indefinitely. Once I can whittle it down, I plan to take commissions in smaller chunks at a time and I will be sure to announce it so you don't miss it when I schedule an opening.
For those in the $5 tier who have specifically been waiting to get in line as part of your Patreon benefits, you have until September 1st, 2024 to message me and get added to the queue. Then, the line is officially closed and detached from any Patreon reward.

You can review the tiers on the Membership section of my page, but here's a copy of each one for quick viewing. The payment structure remains that I only get paid per completed comic page to ensure that you only support what I earn fair and square!

A new feature! Yes, just shoot me a DM and we'll go from there :3 I had been asked a handful of times to add that as a feature, so I thought it might be a fun addition to the $5 tier.

You work super hard, absolutely get the need to let yourself catch up and breathe! You need your schedule to be sustainable for your own health.

Hey, take the time you need to catch up at all. I do have a question about the commission queue. How do you get into it if you’re not part of the five dollar tier?
The commission line was originally a reward for the $5 tier only. I was not accepting folks from other tiers or the public on this particular line. Once I can make my way through this one though, I intend to open up commission slots to anyone! They'll just be in smaller batches and I am still deciding how I wanna approach that when the time comes to make it fair.
I've been worried about you while seeing that queue for ages! I'm glad you're doing what's best for your mental health. I know the mountain visibly sitting there makes it all the more daunting. Looking forward to when my slot does eventually come around, and to all the other work you're doing.
The original reward was totally manageable from humble beginnings. It just accelerated over the years and before I knew it, the mountain you see before you xD I never wanna stop, I just to take less scary bites at a time haha thank you Damie <3
