Teen Aspirations by SimmerJohn
Hi everyone! I was asked by some of you to update SimmerJohn's Teen Aspirations. I finally did it :)
However - I did not test if all objectives works correctly. I updated the mod to make it compatible with the newest version of the game, it will not throw now any errors. Also I updated some objectives, that did not work for some reasons. But I didn't test all aspirations, so please let me know if you notice that some aspirations don't work.
If original creator decides to come back to modding and publish updated version of this mod, I'll remove my update. I would just ask them to let me know here, cause I might not check their site regularly.
For this reason I will not for now change or add anything in the mod functionality. With a time, if I'm sure that original creator doesn't mind, I would gladly change some things in this mod, but I give it a time :)
I removed the script from this mod, so for the mod to work you need also XML injector (the current version).

Known things (that I plan to touch at some point):
- most of aspirations were lacking rewards, so I just quickly made Moodlet Solver potion a reward for all of them.

24/07/2023 - update for patch 1.99.264 (18th of July, Horse Ranch)
12/06/2023 - fixes and improvements (e.g. now aspirations will appear only for teenager Sims). All aspirations, events and careers should work fine and as intented now. I also did some small compatibility with High school years and my mods.

Hi, Thank you so much for the update, this mod had many missing parts before, it's really nice to be able to play it again. Thank you so much, sorry I read just now :) I finally fixed all issues for this mod (a lot of things didn't work as expected even though the code looked fine), so I will upload new version on Monday and let people know about your translations :)

Ooh, excellent! I actually did a homebrew update of this myself back when HSY was still new, but it's great to see someone else pick up the mantle as well. Couple of known-thing-related suggestions: - The aspirations-available-for-adults thing might be a consequence of the aspiration category. if you move them all over to the Teen category, they should be locked to Teens only (though that would require making a HSY-compatible version and a BG version). - If that works, you wouldn't require the 'be a teen' objectives that all the aspirations have, you could jump straight to the reward being given. - As far as Video Recording Royalties are concerned, you could try "Interaction_Skill_MediaProduction" as the tag to test; I vaguely remember that working for me.
Oh, thanks! I'll try the Interaction_Skill_MediaProduction tag. As for aspirations available for adults - I have to create from the scratch all the SimData files for all Aspirations tuning files and I just don't feel doing it right now because it's such a tedious work :D S4S doesn't let me add just 1 line to all these tunings, each time I reopen the mod, it resets to previous state... and I understand why it happens for SimData, but it requires more work ;)
