Talent Contest Event
This mod adds Talent contest as a custom event.
What to know about the mod:
1. Prepare lot for the event. Place few microphones and instruments. Best would be generic lot. (Better not to make it in the park as kids start to play and they don't care about anything else...)
2. Children and Teens can participate.
3. They can paticipate in several categories, result is based on skill level and current mood:
acting
jokes
dance
instrument (piano, violin, guitar)
singing (if you have City Living)
4. Once you perform, other participants should automatically start performing, but if they don't, you can use interaction "Encourage to take part in contest".
5. After some time you can ask jury for the results.
6. I will shortly update Children Aspirations mod, so completing this event could be part of one of the aspirations.

Thank you so much for this precious mod! I have never used this option but once I tried cannot figure out what's was wrong. Even having instrument on the scene, my sim cannot join :( But, fortunately, now he can 😊
Glad to hear it's working fine for you! :)
Hiii! I love this mod! But I can't figure out how to participate by dancing? The singing and instruments options are there but I can't find the one for dancing :(
Hi, dancing should be available also on the microphone. It's under the category Participate in Contest. I hope you'll find it! :)
Thank you so much for all your hardwork ! I cannot tell you how much your mods bring me so much joy in game. I was wondering if you were considering allowing the changes made to the afterschool activitiy mod regarding compability with the new instrument mods by Jane and the ballet barre and ballet dance mods too to. be considered as valid within the performances?
Hmm.... yeah, I might. I didn't think about it, but it's a nice idea.
I really wanted to use this mod, but it doesn't allow you to select yourself as a contestant and thus, doesn't allow you to actually schedule the event. ):
This event was designed for children and teens only - to be participants. So you can't add an adult as participant. But if you have children in the household, an adult can arrange the event and choose them as contestants. Teens can organize event on their own.
Hi ! I have a suggestion regarding the event : adding generic and high-school (for those who have High School Years) venues for the talent contest :) what do you think ?
Yes! Good point! And auditorium. And for science fair as well!
