Call to Drink v3.0
I would like to finally present new version of my Call to Drink mod, that I expanded to all objects that I could think of. Now not only already functional objects get the "Call to get drinks" interaction, but also so far non-functional objects (decorational ones) that I found in the game.
This mod adds possibility to call other Sims for a drink when you serve drinks on/in:
ALREADY IN THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF THE MOD:
Summer Drink Tray (from Backyard SP)
Luxe Drink Tray (from Spa Day GP)
Juice Keg (from University EP)
Fountain (with any drink or dip, from various packs)
Coffee machines from all packs (if you brew more portions)

NEWLY ADDED (v2.0):
Tea Set (from My Wedding Stories GP) - you need to click on a single cup when it's already served, not the entire tray
Sugarcane Juice Drink Tray (from For Rent EP)
Electric Kettle (from For Rent EP)
"On a Silver Platter" Drink Tray (from Riviera Retreat Kit)
Juice Pack (from Eco Living EP)
Nectar Glasses (from Horse Ranch EP) - you need to click on the full glass, not the bottle
Additionally I made several objects functional and added the option to call to drink from them:

Lemon Stand (from Party Essential Kit)
Decorational Trays with water from various packs
Decorational kettles and teapots (from BG, Cottage Living EP and other packs)

To some objects, where it made sense, I added second Call to Drink interaction to pick certain Sims and not all of them.
Tea set (crafted with pottery wheel) from Businesses and Hobbies EP - you need to click on a single cup when it's already served, not the entire tray (works the same as tea set from MWS).
ADDED AFTER Adventure Awaits EP:
Blender coctail - Now 2 possibilities: you can invite someone to prepare the coctail for themself, or the interaction is available on the coctail, once it's already prepared (when Sim prepares a coctail you need to cancel the interaction to Drink it, before they start drink it. Then they put it on the some counter or table and you can Call to Drink someone else). I just though it's natural. People usually don't prepare themselves a smoothie while visiting someone. They get it prepared by the host.

Nectar holders got more options for nectar choice, but nectar holders from base game will show interactions ONLY if one of the following pack was installed: Horse Ranch, or Dine Out, or Cozy Bistro kit.
Some objects (like Juice Keg or coffee machines) have animation restrictions, so that's why you will have to firstly choose only 1 Sim to take a drink. For other objects all Sims nearby are asked to drink.
Interaction is available once objects are full with servings, or in case of the keg - when the tap is added to it.
Almost all newly included objects are on the below picture, I might have missed some that represents same type objects:
Only 1 version of this mod was left, by default with reduced autonomy.
Conflicts & Compatibility:
This mod might conflict with other mods that made changes to the above mentionned objects.
You can use this mod on the base game only - it will work then only on objects from base game. I tested with various combinations of packs, and it didn't give me any errors in any combination.
Should work with LMS mod Improved Tray, LMS mod will override my mod functionality, but all other objects from my mod will keep my mod functionality.

27/08/2026 - Fixed issues that were reported with restaurants. Added Call to Drink to following objects: Seltzer box from Eco Living, new interaction to Blender from Adventure Awaits, Tea set for Kids with Preted to Drink Tea. Added more wine options to any wine holders. Wine holders from base game will show interactions ONLY if one of the following pack was installed: Horse Ranch, or Dine Out, or Cozy Bistro kit.
Also, I had to leave only 1 version of the mod, with reduced autonomy for grabbing the drink. The autonomy was one of the factor causing issues during restaurant events.

4/11/2024 - Now there are 2 versions of this mod. Second version "ilkavelle_CallToDrink_v2.0_NoAutonomy" - should remove the autonomy to grab drinks when Sim is hungry - but only from deco objects that I made functional with this mod. Objects that were designed as functional by EA still will have their own autonomy.

hello i have the latest version of this mod and the game when i pour glasses of wine and click on the wine glass call to drink option wont show up but with tea machine it shows up
Hi, love the mod but Mod Hound is throwing up an issue with this saying the mod is broken or obsolete. Is there an updated version of this?
Hi, yes this mod was broken for some time, I couldn't find what's wrong and I had to mostly redo it from the scratch, but now it's fixed, I will share today the update. Don't download just yet, only when it's says in change log that it's updated :)
I don’t know if it has been reported or if it’s normal but there seems to be an issue with having this mod and restaurants. My sims can’t go on any event in a restaurant and if they do it’s full of glitches and it doesn’t do that without the mod. If I start a save without the mod and add it ulteriorly, my sims can’t serve drinks
I will check this, but I didn't notice anything like this in my game.

Hi! Could you add the toast bucket please ? Thank you! It will be great if you can also do a make a toast easier version. I always struggle to do a toast. Like a call to drink and make a toast. It will be great to get a toast mod also. Toast mean (like roast someone) toast to congratulate, toast to honore a death sim, toast for new job, sibling, new partner) toast to celebrate a celebrity, event… thank you!
To be honest, I wanted to add it now, but I wanted to make it base game interaction and it doesn't work as intended so for now I wasn't adding it to the mod. I know what you mean and I wanted to make it, but it seems not that easy somehow 🤔

Hi, thank you for letting me know such mod exists, but I don't think it would be nice to make a changes to someone else's mod - and making my options work for these new custom trays would be in fact making changes to this mod. Also, I noticed, the creator already enabled such option, I'm guessing this works similarly to my mod: "Grab a Drink with" other Sims. :)

This is amazing! Thank you so much! I especially appreciate how the sims could come one after the other to collect drinks with the party essentials kit tray. I just noticed recently that it seems this mod now conflicts with LittleMsSam's improved drink trays. Would it be possible to have a compatible version of these two mods?

Hi, quick question. Whenever I use the call to drink feature, most of the sims won’t go to the drinks as they’re blocked by one sim trying to get a drink. Is there a way around this so that they queue up to get the drink?
This is the reason why I made Sim Picker option for Juice keg and for coffee. I was testing other objects and it seemed mostly ok, like not all Sims could take a cup, but at least some of them. I tried to make it working better, but it's not that easy. Unfortunately I can't make the queue to get the drink, I can only make a Sim picker. I will try to adjust the distance between Sim and an object, maybe that will help several Sims to perform animation at the same time. Is there any specific object you have this troubles, or all of them?
if this gets updated for the cozy hot chocolate tray from SDX, could you possibly make it so sims automatically drink mugs present on the tray? I kind of wish the sims team did this for all drink trays they've released. Personally would rather be annoyed with sims getting too many drinks than none at all

Everyone asking to change autonomy so this doesn't call you to drink or that doesn't is asking to change the scope of this mod from an added feature into a comprehensive overhaul. There are literally DOZENS of autonomous "drink" interactions, and many of these interactions you're looking to end are a direct result of the authors of the EP that the item comes from (Spa Day and For Rent are particularly nasty here but aren't the only offenders) are advertising trumped-up fun numbers for using their objects, and that's why sims will flock across the lot to get to a poorly brewed pot of Honey Lemon Ginger Detox but won't touch the excellent coffee sitting right next to it. Anyone looking to remove these unwanted interactions from their game is probably already running MCCC. There's a whole autonomy mod that was originally started by Scumbumbo incorporated into it MCCC Tuner lets the user scan and remove autonomy per object, per trait and per currently-running, and I'd advise players to get comfortable using that and not bother modders like our dear Ilkavelle to expand the scope of their mods beyond their original visions.
Thank you for explaining :) I will still remove some autonomy from my mod, in places that it might be a bit too much. But as you said - in many cases it is designed by ea. I had a lot of empty glasses everywhere left way before I created this mod :D
I love the idea of this -- but my sims autonomously keep grabbing drinks and drinking tea obsessively. Can you tweak it so that they only grab drinks when directed?
