Flexi Mammoth (January Design) (Archived)
Hi Everyone!
The Flexi Mammoth is now available for download from the January Designs Post! Creating this design was an absolute blast! 馃悩
Our Mammoth is unique鈥攊t can Sit as well as stand thanks to the middle body ball joint, which provides extra flexibility. This design is mostly print-in-place and requires no supports for printing. The trunk and tusks are snap-fit with the head, and the head is a snap-fit with the body.
Note: A little force might be needed to fit the head, as every printer extrudes slightly differently.
When printing in multicolor, I recommend printing the tusks separately to save print time. I Printed this design at 0.2 mm layer height at the default 100% Scale

Below are the recommended settings:
No need for supports!
Aim for a layer height between 0.18mm - 0.2mm
Stick to 2 walls
Bottom layers: 4
Top layers: 6
Shoot for a 15% infill (Gyroid)
Downscale from 100% to 80%
Precision settings: Slice gap closing radius - 0.004, Resolution - 0.004 (Highly recommended for multicolor Prints)

Is it possible to still buy this stl?
This is cool but look quite similar to another recently released model by another creator
This Mammoth design has been in progress for quite some time, and it鈥檚 always difficult to set aside so much effort just because a similar concept has been posted by someone else. While many animals naturally share similar features, each artist brings their own unique style and perspective to their work. Our designs are thoughtfully optimized for multicolor printing and, where possible, include additional middle-body joints to enhance flexibility. These features make our creations stand out and add a distinct touch of uniqueness. I deeply respect the creativity of other artists, but when comparing more closely, you鈥檒l notice that our Mammoth design is also different from another artist's work.
