Not wise at all of him to tell Rezi that though, right? Has he never heard of "Never interrupt your enemy when they're making a mistake?"
I dare to think perhaps he knows that there are unknown variables Rezi has yet to realize, that the statement is more a lure and distraction. That bolt could be a hidden threat, a vector for a chemical assault that will be very unfortunate for Rezi if she takes the wrong action. For instance, an alchemical oddity that prevents her from entering her feral form, and enticing her to attempt it leaves her vulnerable and infeabled.

I'd rather see her have a humbling, growth experience. Fafnir has overarching themes that exist here, that racial superiority leads to dark times, each part has a place, and hubris leads to folly leads to fall.
Cue the dramatic "tune in next time" narration. Still, I'm sure by the end of this Rezi's gonna complain that it's over and she wasn't done having fun XP

Sword fighting is still an skill, and fighting multiple enemies is very very hard. But Rezi also has more potent weapons and the option to fly. Now she probably want an fight and not wanting to simply destroy the ship
