And thus it ends. On with the story we go, at last. It was a fun sequence to make though. I would rather draw dragons flying and fighting instead of hugging all day. I don't know what it is about hugs. They're so hard hard to draw!
I also think every time flare goes in for a hug, Elias is subtly dodging her horns. 😅

Lol.... Dang...... I was really hoping to see Burn perish within Flare's flames of hell bent vengeance. Lol. Unwittingly showing her family that she's far more powerful than she lets on if pushed to the edge enough, especially if it involves harming HER Precious Elias! 🦊🐺
I think it would be super adorable if the purple dragon and a few others tried talking to Elias after this. He is BOUND to peak curiosity on many subjects and possibly (hopefully) make another friend.

Excellent tech, excellent explanation, and also it makes total sense. Flare had full finesse from start to finish. Burn got upset, lost control, and tried to take back the win by displaying brute force and lost his precision and nearly got someone killed. That's not how you play with fire.
I find it a little weird how some people keep saying that Flare would have roasted or ripped Burn apart as if she has ever been stated or implied to be strong compared to other dragons. Sorry to destroy it if you have a headcanon that Flare is a powerful dragoness because of what she did to that elf, but from what I've read of the comic she seems to be only average at best in terms of strength compared to other Wildfires. I think anyone of her tribe could've roasted that elf alive like Flare did. Especially if the Wildfire were very angry like Flare was at that moment.
I think it would have happened for two reasons: 1) Flare would have been running on adrenalin, and thus, much stronger than usual. 2) Flare would NOT have been holding back, she'd have gone in for the kill from the off, while Burn was still trying to process it.
Me personally, I'd watch for a horn that's about a good inch away from my eye, too

I think Burn may be a narcissist with how he's trying to put all the blame on Flare for something that's clearly his fault. Narcissists never assume responsibility for anything. I say that as someone who has dealt with someone like that previously in my life and studied about that.
Well, if choreography and control with the fire are what is judged to determine the winner of conflagora, then there was no way you could win with raw power alone, Burn. You have only yourself to blame.
