FetCB
Forgotten Beast Alive!
70s era FET Limiter/Compressor from UK!
Colorful and all around Limiter/Compressor for every source.
It was my first re-design while I build hardwares. But in digital version, I changed little bit. Just removed INPUT and added THRESHOLD. Normally, THRESHOLD is fixed and you can adjust compression level by driving INPUT.
Now, it's more versatile but still colorful!
FEATURES
- ATTACK: 20us to 200ms
- RELEASE: 25ms to 500ms
- THRESHOLD: +10dB to -30dB
- RATIO: 1:1 to 20:1
- MIX & OUTPUT
- External Sidechain
- ANALOG OBSESSION: This label is clickable. It will turn to red and engage Oversampling (4x)
Resizable interface. Simple "Bottom Right Corner Handle" to resize. 50% to 200%.
*Resizing Tip: When you duplicate plug-in, it will remember current state of GUI size. But if you load new instance, it will be opened at default size. To get rid of this issue, simply follow these steps;
1. Open plug-in for the first time
2. Resize GUI according to your screen resolution or you liking before setting any knobs
3. Save this state as default preset with your DAW
Now, you will be able to load new instances with same size.
(If you want to go default size, simply double click to resize handle.)

IT HAS A BUG!!! when over sampling turned on in ableton live 12 it generates feedback signal 0db spl, only stops when removed from insert.
vous etes les meilleurs un jour je serai actionnaire chez vous !!!
Very nice. Have noticed, in Cubase 12 here at least, that the Output knob doesn't actually do anything. As in either reducing or increasing the output.
It's a trident
Hi. Awesome work. Thanks a lot! Just one thing: I stopped checking after the seventh or so of your newest plugins, but it seems that in Studio One 6.5 (on M1 Mac with Sonoma) they all crash my DAW immediately when dragging onto a channel. All the VST3 versions work, tho. It's not happening e.g. in Kushview Element or MainStage. (I don't have other DAWs to check) Someone else out there using Studio One having this issue?
I am also having the same problem with Studio One 6.5. (Mac Studio, Sonoma 14.2.1) I have no choice but to use VST3. It seems to work fine with other DAWs. I have tried with DP 11, Ablton Live 12, GigPerformer 4.58 and UA LUNA . This seems to be a problem specific to Studio One 6.5. Is this a problem on the DAW application side?
can we get an api preamp or channel strip next
Quick update for Mac version is ready to download! Fixed readout values and not showing in DAW issue! Mac users need to download it, again. Thanks!
Thank you again for your excellent work!
hi! It's work perfectly in reaper, but i have problem with protools... When protools starts, it sees the FetCB, but alert me that there is an issue with the license of the plugin and ask me to move it in "unesed folder plugin". It's only for me?
I keep looking for a digital mixer console that emulates something akin to a Mackie Mixer. I use Ableton Live 11 and the mixing console is primitive. Obviously, a digital mixer would not be expected to be part of a $5 a month membership but it is needed.
I have no idea what this is emulating, neither does ChatGPT, but thanks ! Your work is highly appreciated :)
Seems like it could be a Trident CB9146, but that's just my best guess.
