TUBA
Tube mic/line amp with 2 band EQ.
Based on famous tube console. DIY version of original hardware with mods.
Features
- LEVEL: Input drive. Fully compensated to avoid gain changes.
- GAIN: Input drive gain range.
- MIC/LINE : Selectable mic preamp or line amp for different characters and colors.
- LF: Low frequency with broad shelf around 100 Hz.
- HF: High frequency with broad shelf around 8 kHz.
- 0/180: Phase switch
- PAD: 20 dB pad without affecting gain level. It will increase headroom.
- OUTPUT: Clean output
- ANALOG OBSESSION: This label is clickable. It will turn to red and engage Oversampling (4x)
- Touchscreen support
- Resizable interface. Simple "Bottom Right Corner Handle" to resize. 50% to 200%.
*Resizing Tip: When you duplicate plug-in, it will remember current state of GUI size. But if you load new instance, it will be opened at default size. To get rid of this issue, simply follow these steps;
1. Open plug-in for the first time
2. Resize GUI according to your screen resolution or you liking before setting any knobs
3. Save this state as default preset with your DAW
Now, you will be able to load new instances with same size.
(If you want to go default size, simply double click to resize handle.)

Pretty sure I used all three of these great plugins on my last project. Tuba was just the thing to get a little extra snarl on the B3 it needed to seat in the mix; Kolin went on my master buss and refused to be replaced by top limiters from every major maker. It's just so clean and it makes the mix punchy without sacrificing clarity. I look forward to hearing the new updates, and thanks so much!!

I have one suggestion for a future Kolin update (if any are planned): LR sidechain link ON/OFF. I find VariMu compressors work really well unlinked when used on master bus at low GR. This would make Kolin even more useful for bus duties. GUI solution: simply replace the existing power switch with link on/off, and place the power switch lower in the middle, so the (now) three switchs form a triangle. Thanks!
Hats off for creating Kolin. With the latest version it can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of hardware Vari-Mu compressors. I have a Vari-mu that's based on Altec 436C and Kolin actually sounds quite similar when driven. I love it on drum bus and mix bus. I find tuba to be a great transient ironing machine.
Kolin is GOLD for gluing bass tracks with the drums.. wow!
I've been using Tuba as the first plugin on many DI bass tracks since it came out. It is fabulous. I had some reliability issues at first, but I've switched to Reaper and all is well now.
Kolin sounds unbelievably good!
I'm using Tuba on the mix bus at the moment and it sounds so good. Especially with the H.F. engaged.
This Kolin was all I used for quite a while, on the master track. Still use it a lot, but I've discovered a couple of other great ones recently, including another free one from another dev, and a paid one called... I guess it would be rude to name other devs out on this... a really deep-featured master tube limiter named after a large, very long-nosed animal. But this Kolin is still 99.7% as good as that one, no diss and no offense remotely intended. ...There's tons of plugins out there now, lol.

Hey Tunca, I'm missing a scope of fft function in a lot of your eq's. I am somewhat hearing impaired [ hi freq] and I find I'm relying more and more on visual as well as aural cues. Any chance? Also would be great if you could do a Roland JetPhase or similar sometime. I used to have one and they were stunning. Best g Write a message...

Hi. For some reason downloads are very slow? Might just be me experiencing this but other sites are fine so you might wanna check on that. I had to use a download manager to deal with start/stop downloads.

Hi, the TuPRE sounds incredible, but it create a huge (50db) spike whenever you hit play or bypass in Logic. Unless oversampling is enabled. Is this normal?
Actually not noticed by me and testers. Did you have previous version before? If yes, please remove TuPre and rescan plugins/clear cache. And then re install plugin. Thanks
