0.13 - Update Status (Translations!)

Hello everybody,

Here are the new numbers for this update: 3200 renders, 153 animations and ~80,000 words. 0.13 is now 8 times larger than 0.12! It's so big, I'm sitting over 850GB of raw animations and renders.😅

As some of you know, I destroyed my CPU this month, which cost me almost a week of rendering time. While my PC was on life support (it would overheat just opening Chrome), I worked on lighter tasks like the script and adding new post-processing effects: there's now Saturation, Temperature, Gamma, Sharpness, and Film Grain.

I also experimented with the Gemini API to translate the game. Turns out, it wasn't as complicated as I thought! Though perfecting it seems impossible... the overall translation is pretty good, but there are small errors here and there. This way, native speakers who want to participate will have a solid baseline already made and will only have to fix a few things to make it flawless. The current languages I'm planning are:

The Finale & Release Date (?)

Last time I estimated a release date, I said I'd be done towards the end of this month, and beta testing could begin in early July. In my head, I thought 50 animations + writing/rendering would be doable in 1–2 months based on a previous lewd scene I've worked on. And it was. I've been grinding on the finale for 1.5 months now, rendering 67 animations and 315 renders so far... and I'm still on Part 2 of 4!

Since I got the VA audio before animating this time, it made me add unplanned stuff, as always. It was just worse this time because I can take all those audios, mix them up, and create other audios, meaning even more animations!

I considered cutting Part 3 (the aftermath/aftercare) just to release 0.13 earlier. But I quickly changed my mind, especially after seeing people agree that intimacy after sex is definitely lacking in AVN's. I'm not trying to make an average game with less than 10 animations per scene that stops shortly after climax. This finale is one of the main reasons 0.13 took so long; including a proper sex scene has been the goal since I started this update. Now that I've reached this point, I won't stop adding content until things end naturally.

Including the aftercare means this single scene will have close to 100 animations (with different angles). I’ve personally never seen a sex scene anywhere near as good or as long as this one. Especially not with realistic, fluid movements, voice acting, and sound effects in every single animation. Length, quality, and aftercare... why are all three together not more common in the average ADULT visual novel???

I know I'm glazing myself here, but I'm super proud of my work, a LOT more than what I used to make. It's honestly a great thing 0.13 took that long, or the very first sex scene of the game would've been mid. I keep learning things every week, so the game gets better and better.
