I agree with Claire's wee ma that she's basically a delinquent. She's a Sith Lord in Star War's terms for all the chaos associated with these Derry Girls and James. Claire isn't innocent her overall plan was to trap these girls including James into White Slavery hahahh. I'm on to her and her secret Lesbian ways of seduction and needing to go to Belfast this episode !!!

It is always wild to me how Irish Ian McElhinney sounds in this when I knew him from Game of Thrones first where he has a perfect English accent. Classical training I guess. The relationship between him and Gerry in this makes the show for me.
The whole RP accent thing is a thing yeah. Thank god for America's General accent , otherwise they'd be speaking like Kelsey Grammer as Frasier Crane during his roles in Cheers and his own show. P.s the best thing about Game of Thrones trivia is that Sean Bean didn't want to do PR , so Kit Harington and others were forced to pick up Northern Accents for those who lived in the North. Kit Harington and his wife Rose Leslie had PR accents but were fanatic with their northern roles! (Jon Snow and Ygritte)
Not to show my age but I did a double take a few times over when Claire's mom mentions she's sixteen. All this time I thought the girls were like 12-13. I guess that would have made their hobby of getting drunk at any opportunity a lot weirder but it's not outside of what I've seen small town kids get up to. Heck, my stepbrother was running drugs when he was 14. But more to the point, the way they act is so often so far away from what you'd think of near-adults. I gotta rethink everything I know about this show.
