Nooo, now that Maple mentioned it, it makes absolute sense that the throne is giving all these rules lead poisoning.
Does it though? Why would steel swords contain lead? And I know it's mostly a joke (I don't think Maple meant it seriously either) but I kind of hate these sorts of theories, that take something that is obviously meant to convey meaning and themes, i.e. in this case about how power corrups and all that, and try to explain it away with some mundane real-world science-ish thing. That's so boring and uninteresting. It feels similar to me when people argue that in the main series, Tywin was poisoned by Oberyn and that's why his corpse stinks so bad, instead of the obvious deeper meaning behind the golden, noble Lord of Lannister rotting away like the corrupt, evil person he was.
Such a good episode the end gave me chills.
That scene in the sept was definitely one of the best High Valyrian conversations they've ever had. In the past, these exchanges have occasionally felt stiff and unnatural, but I really believed them here, it was great. Must be really hard to convincingly act and deliver lines in a completely made-up language. Gwayne Hightower is so funny, like wdym you didn't see that was where Cole was going all along xD

Most people are unbearable. I have been enjoying the season, and I have read the books. Sure thier is stuff I wish they did, but overall, I'm here to be entertained, and it's doing its job.
