The Sopranos 5x11 | Watch Along

Chinatown really is "more interesting than life"

I know the episodes that are very dream-sequence forward are a bit controversial in the fandom but I've always loved them, and Test Dream is among the best. Dream sequences are always dicey territory for TV shows, it's hard to nail the fine line between overly simplistic and on-the-nose, or just vague meaningless nonsense, but I think The Sopranos has always handled that very well.

i saw this episode as a kid at 3:00am laying on the couch and had no idea wtf was going on, felt like a dream to me too

Holy shit. I just remembered what the next episode is.

I am really enjoying the commentary at the end of these episodes.

One thing I've noticed watching lots of reactions to this show. Someone usually points out that it's the longest dream sequence so far even at about 20% into the dream. 😎
