Why choose, if you just open your heart, you'll find enough hate for the both of them.

for first time viewers you guys really do understand these characters and the writers intentions behind them very well. the analysis at the end of the episodes are just as good as the show reactions.

It’s a special kind of show when a guy picking a fight with his sister at the dinner table is almost as difficult to watch as the scenes of murder, all sorts of violence and depravity. One of the biggest themes of Sopranos is whether people can change; the show’s answer seems to be they can, but most don’t or won’t. Change takes honesty and hard work. Tony isn’t honest with anybody and doesn’t want to do the work. He won’t let himself change, and it makes him uncomfortable to see that others are who willing to summon the honesty and put in a bit of work (Janice) might be able to do something he can’t.

The absolute hysteria that news caused over biological weapons. My stepmother even went out and taped up the windows they talked about it so much and made it seem like a certainty. Mind you we lived in the middle of nowhere in the Poconos.

One of my favorite interactions is in this episode: Bobby: Tony, I know this looks bad. But on the other hand, she called Sophia her daughter. Tony: I don't give a fuck! Bobby: 😔 Tony: Alright, I do give a fuck. hahahahaha

You could see how much disdain Tony had for Janice being even remotely happy at the end 😂 Great discussion from you guys afterwards

HBO should display trigger warnings when watching Sopranos. Tony is such a realistically written narcissist it gives me goosebumps cause I immediately see certain people from my life in front of me watching him. Especially that dinner scene at the end.

I was gonna say, and I do not particularly like Janice, but that is at least on a personal level one of the meanest moments from Tony in the series. Its so fucked.
