FRIEREN 1X19-20 | Watch Along

The exam arc has a pretty different tone from the rest of the series but I still really enjoy it. I particularly like how much it shows how out of time Frieren and, by extension, Fern are. All the other mages are part of a world they are both very much not a part of. Everyone else taking the tests knows each other or has otherwise heard of the other person. It's like Frieren just started going to a new high school with established politics, cliques, etc except shes also a legendary mage.

Re: the kiln, you could probably "rent" space in a kiln owned by a studio or business. My local place (a pottery-painting shop) charges a flat fee, about $80, for pretty much however many pieces you want to fire at once. Kind of expensive, but still more feasible than buying your own kiln (and you don't have to maintain it or fire them yourself).
